Kooks headers and green cats took my guy about 6 hours. Professional shops might be faster but I trust my installer. You should expect to throw a CEL. Because of the high flow cats, you will get a slow response from the o2 sensors. From what I understand it's no big deal from what I have read. Performance didn't suffer and no knocking. If anything it's smells a little rich now. There are a few work arounds I have read about but haven't tried them yet. A full kooks system sounds amazing. I get compliments all the time.
i have just got my kooks on , and 6 hours umm no... was that on a 14 plate. because mine is a right hand drive its about 13 - 14 hours here , we need to mod a pipe for the steering.pull out engine mounts jack the engine and all kids of crazy sh1tt
and yes the sound is way way better with the headers. So if your happy with catback you will be pulling your self over the headers as well like me
yeah mate the same , with greens. i should be getting it dynoed tomorrow as well so i can give an accurate result on the gains like the injen gave me 20 whp so will tell you once its done .
I've been running the Kooks LT headers, green cats, and CAT back for almost a week now. To start, it is loud; much louder than with just the CAT back (which I ran for a few weeks prior to). BUT, it adds a very nice aggressive rumble that I just can't enough of! I can't really tell if it pulls any harder but I am satisfied just from an aural standpoint (to be honest, the CAT back system alone didn't do it for me and as the GT Haus system videos started becoming available I wanted to shoot myself for "skimping"). Now, I'm a happy camper!
Well, I just sprung my first code today [P0153 O2 circuit slow response Bank 2, Sensor 1] and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. I've read it's just the nature of the LT headers as the sensors are further removed from the block and computer…true?
I also have a Trinity but felt I lost power with the canned 91 tune and have since reverted back to factory. Is everyone waiting for more options to become available for the '14s? Anybody do a custom dyno tune yet with bolt-ons?
yeah i have the same CEL codes and have to clear them, i normally use BP ultimate or caltex 98 here in aus, i got caught out and had to use the united brand fuel 98, i seem to be getting more CEL codes with that fuel.
I get my GThaus installed tomorrow so no sleep for me tonight lol
and the headers are were the noise is at, for get the cat back sounds thats half the job done lol
The codes are normal. I've had a full kooks system since the middle of last summer. As far as tuning goes, I haven't gotten a trinity yet because I don't think they're is anything else really available except those canned tunes. I could be wrong...
P2098 just popped up this morning. FWIW, exhaust smells richer too. Thoughts and possible fixes? If it's just the light I can live with it, but, would rather not have problems down the road.
I've read stuff about anti-foulers and wool with the WK1s. Will the same work for our WK2s?

I read about the wool a while back, but I never tried it. My exhaust smells richer as well. Without real tuning I'm guessing there really isn't much you can do atm. Unless there is some kind of different o2 sensor that would remedy it.
I had these same codes pop up on my 2012 when I had my ARH headers, cats and exhaust setup. I had two codes, P0153 and P2098. Slow response and lean fuel. The P2098 is the lean code. I always had my a Trinity plugged in and every time this code would pop in, it would significantly change the performance of the tune. The exhaust note would change, it became more sluggish/less responsive and you would start to see crazy ST knock. When this code pops in, my assumption is the computer thinks it's running lean and starts to dump excess fuel on the side the code appears on. I had a custom tune setup and couldn't ever get these codes to permanently clear. Didn't try the wool things, etc as I ended up trading it in for 2014. Best wishes on getting this cleared, it frustrated the hell out of me.
the HEAD engineer of the SRT Jeep told me this would happen and EVERYONE said he was crazy and they didn't have any check engine lights. Looks like he was right.....
