Aus SRT upgrades

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and a would really appreciate your advice. I've got a 13' WK2 SRT, absolutely love it but want more out of it. So I'm doing the following to it:
whipple 2.9 supercharger kit
Manley Forged Pistons - 4.095" 12cc dish (9.3"1 Compression)
Manley Forged Steel Conrods - 6.240" .927" pin (ARP2000 rod bolt upgrade)
Manley Forged stroker Crankshaft 4.050" stroke
Manley Piston Rings - 4.095"
Cometic MLS Head Gaskets
Jet engineering Pushrods - 6.850 x 8
Jet engineering Pushrods - 8.150 x 8
PSI1511-ML Valve springs
Gaskets as required
Seals as required
Remove and Refit
Machining
Engine Assembly
Arrington 88mml throttle body
catch can
xforce headers
borla attak catback.

My concern is that all of this will be too much for the transmission?
I'd appreciate your advice on the above mods.
All the work will be done by horse power factory in Melbourne Australia.

She'll be a wild ride
Cheers

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

Depends on tuning and boost...power output. Whats the estimate?

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

9 -12 pounds of boost, power is an unknown. It will be a case of seeing where the car is at and how much boost it can safely take. It will be a daily so I don't want to push it to its upper limit.
I want to do everything while I've got the motor out and opened. I would go to the limit if I was confident that there wouldn't be a standout weak link in the chain.
Does anyone know of a similar build? or potential issues I could be facing?

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

The MY13 runs the 5spd box which has a history of being stronger than the MY14 8spd. There are a few whippled cars in Oz now. Jon the Melbourne SRT Club on Facebook and or the Sydney SRT Club on Facebook for more answers.

imo, 12 pounds is getting up there in terms of what the box can handle. HPF have a good reputation i think so talk to your tuner and see what he has to say.

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

It has got the 8sp box in it, my concern is that it won't handle the amount of boost and power produced by the aforementioned mods.
Can someone confirm that it has a torque handling limit of 700 newton metres (516 lbf·ft)?

You can't have a 2013 and have the 8spd transmission, the 8spd wasn't available until the MY14.

Regardless of transmission, you will need to upgrade them eventually. If you're not drag racing, then that should buy you a little more time. Its not a matter of if but when your transmission will start to fail.

BTW- sounds like an incredible build and look forward to reading how yours goes, I am looking to do a similar build myself.

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

Correction, MY2014.
Thanks mate, I'm really looking forward to the build. I shall update on the progress once the build begins.
What improvements can be done on the ZF?

Re: Aus SRT upgrades

I also have a Whipple on my 15 SRT
It is running 10psi, makes a ton of power and the trans handles it fine.
Shifts great actually, the ZF 8sp is a real good trans and will handle way above its rated torque.
Tuning is the key on these, so will be interesting to see how good they get it.
Good luck with the project
