On the spray painting they said it does not need to be a high temp product, most anything would be fine - but any suggestions (I'll only need to do the front section)? I'm guessing I just grab a spay can of matt black for metal and give it a light coating....

This happens mostly because we were going on Summer break or just coming back. But more over the Black GC intercoolers do not have a part number in the system, so it was not a line item and needed to be manually entered or followed by packaging. These notes aren't typical and there's the over-site....

When guys in the states want to paint that cooler we have suggested a satin black indoor/outdoor metal paint used on Black BBQ grills which has UV protection.... This is a very common paint State side.

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

Got an etch primer and a matt black specifically for Radiators from the local HW store.

I'm now wondering if I should also do a bit of the piping but not sure if it would be visible at all from the front of the car anyway.

FYI - only mod on prior to this is a catch can

The pipes are not visible from the grill. just the intercooler.

Thanks and I've painted just the one side, the one with the Ripp badge on it which I presume is the "front".

Thanks

Good choice. Sonny tuned my C63 and did a great job. Even though I live in Perth I decided he was the only person I trusted so I pulled out the ecu and sent it to Sydney for tuning. His after sales service was excellent and he seemed to be available 24/7 to answer queries.

I would love to supercharge my Jeep but it is a company car and I am sure they wouldn't appreciate the warranty void.

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

I've just had a look at the BOV regarding the Plumb Back and can not see how it would work. We get a Vortech MaxFlow Race and it is a 360 degree discharge from near the base of the unit.

Great you are going to sell heaps to Oz but you will need a BOV Plumb Back for anyone wanting to get them legally complied.

For now, any suggestions on how to plumb this back?

Thanks

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

...the option option (I guess) is to have a different BOV such as this one Vortech 8D004 .... It looks like it would be a direct swap as both units state "These units will retrofit to standard HKS/Greddy style mounting pads" (but what would I know, this is my first V8 much less adding FI).

Dropped the SRT off for the install while I'm away for a few days with work. Should be back Thurs/Friday to see how it went!
