No side effects, just a simple return in a tight space.

Report on the tune when you get a chance.

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

I installed the tune last night and will get a run done today and post the logs back.

Any idea when the BOV Kit will ship?

Thanks
Nathan

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

Logs posted back to RIPP, on the new tune

Overall it feels there is more low down torque and after driving around town for a few hours I had no issues to report. I then took it for a couple of runs (note: it was a warm day 25C and the car had been running for a while)
- Run 1: Stock Launch Control - 0-100 in 3.8sec no issues at all, pulled well
- Run 2: In “Track” Mode, I tried a Manual Launch around 3,000rpm and I got some rough gear changes and 4sec
- Run 3: In “Track” Mode, I just mashed the gas and while there was no issues it was the slowest at 4.1sec

Good thing that my wife bought me a voucher for some track day training (as LC beats me!).

Thanks
Nathan

sounding good nath,
doing back to back runs the time will get worse you would be lucky to do 3 runs and not get a worse time.
are you still running 20's you can get some semi slicks if you are, ive tried dong a track day on road tires and it was crap... if you can get semis you should.
once i get mine done i was going to head into the creek for some real times, if your keen ill try and book us both in . just thought a bit of notice would be good .

I've resent the e-mail with the missing logs

Also - any news on shipping the Kit, I've booked in driving course for next month and would really want to have my ride certified by then!
Thanks

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

Hey Dasko, could be a fun day. I'm doing one of the Ian Luff group Performance Driving course out at Eastern Creek mid Nov so with some luck I'll know a bit more of what I'm doing after that. Looking forward to seeing how your build goes.

Careful, “resent” and “re-sent” have two very different meanings.

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

Got another run in this morning and more logging sent to RIPP. It was a cooler run at 15C (25C yesterday) and just did one run using std Launch Control. It did a 3.8 but hit some issues on a Gear Change? where I lost power in the middle of the run. Clearly will go faster

Brashquido is on a distinguished road
Hey Nathan,

Great thread! Any gut feeling on what the issues with the gear changes are? Also, perhaps a bit of a weird question for a SC thread, but just wondering how fuel economy was for highway travel? Any better with cylinder deactivation enabled?

@ RIPP Superchargers

I get my MY15 SRT next month and this supercharger kit is the only aftermarket mod I am considering at this point. Seeing as Nathan has provided such good feedback on Australian requirements to have this kit installed legally, just wondering if you guys were going to offer a Aus version of it for purchase? Like Nathan, the only way I'd be going ahead with this is of the car was fully legal at the end of it all.

Re: Australian RIPP Install (RHD)

Hi Brashquido, I "think" it is just hitting the rev limiter as I got this with the first tune (on I think two of the gear changes), then not issues with the second tune at all, then with this third tune it seems to be on one of the gear changes.

As part of the kit, RIPP provides a Diablo InTune to both flash new tunes and also do data logging. So when I get a new Tune E-Mailed from RIPP, I take it for a run, do the logging and send it back... and the cycle repeats. This is a good process to continually refine the tune as I hope to get to the 3.5sec mark which is not that far away.

On Fuel Economy, I need to do another trip from Syd to Cbr to be sure but my impressions is seems to be about the same around town and I did one trip down the coast with the SC Kit but I'd not driven that road in the Jeep before.

Also - as a general observation, I have no idea if the ECO button really does anything apart from light up however!

I'd have no hesitation recommending the RIPP kit once I get the final bits to make it all nice and legal!
