Red face Better mileage & performance

Need better mileage & performance for my 2006 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L. Other than installing a dual cold air intake the rest is stock.

Re: Better mileage & performance

I have a question. Yesterday I stopped at a filling station and they had a pump marked 100% gas (no ethanol). I did not put any in my 2013 JGC Ltd. 3.6. Does any body have any input on no ethanol gas? I would like to burn a few tankfulls to see if the MPG or performance goes up or down. From all I have read on Ethanol in the past day its not the best product for an engine. I owned a Ford Escape for 7 years and thats all I used was 10% ethanol, and put 112m miles on it and it still ran very well when I traded it in for the JGC. Comments appreciated. Thanks

Easy fix

Step 1: Enter car
Step 2: Drive to your nearest Dodge dealership
Step 3: Trade it in for a DART

The members got some great ideas maybe they will buy you a new car with better mileage.
How many miles you got ? I got a 05 Hemi I changed my spark plugs clean the throttle body get a catch can t lots of good threads on it but get one. Run some Seafoam good stuff cleans the engine, the cold air intake will make less mileage for you stay with the stock one unless you like to here the noise. I went back to stock a lot better mileage and throttle. I hope that helps.

Chris

Mileage or performance. Typically you get to pick ONE.
If it is off warranty, consider dropping in a hemi from the folks who build the Petty engines...

Or go for headers and at least a cat back from one of the name brand exhaust companies. A high performance cat could also help...

Trying to retrofit the '14s 8 speed for a tiny mileage improvement would probably not be worth the money.

Step 5: Trade Dart in for an SRT GC. The Dart should pay for a modest wheel upgrade at the very least.

Re: Better mileage & performance

I'd pump non ethonel fuel into any vehicle. It's all we're using in small engine when possible.
