Just picked up 14 srt. Way too quiet! Love the noise of the Atak, But saw some threads about mufflex. Sounds similar at 1/3 the cost. does the borla really sound that much better? I don't want raspy sound at wot...I know everyone has their own thoughts in what sounds good So I am open to suggestions under 1000.00. Thanks guys

I say Mufflex 100%. Sound is perfect in my opinion. Deeper..throatier sound at idle and absolutely awesome at WOT. little to no cabin drone and can't beat the price. Nothing against the Borla or any other exhaust but I just think they are all overpriced. Unless your doing headers..your not gaining any performance so it's purely for sound. Just my 2 cents.

I put on the Borla 'ATAK' exhaust and I'm very pleased with the sound! It's funny to see the expression on a toll taker's face when I blast off! Great sound and no drone at highway speeds... Its actually quite and only growls when I press the gas pedal down a bit to go faster ?

Nice. Can't wait to see the ceramic...post pics. Mufflex said my exhaust should ship Monday. Was hoping to have it already but they were on backorder. I'm having my wheels powder coated at the same time. High temp powder the exhaust of course. my buddy owns the powder shop so he gets Me done fairly quick.

Did Mufflex ship out your exhaust yet? I'm still waiting on mine. They told me it should ship by today. They were waiting on one back-ordered piece.

Can you post the part #'s for the Mufflex exhaust system? I deleted my mufflers and still the SRT is too quiet! I don't want to spend a lot of $$ and have been considering the Magnaflow, Borla, GTHaus (way too much $$ but so sick) and now the Mufflex...any pics and videos are greatly appreciated

Renzo - That is a sweet system you put on...did you have the tips done by a 3rd party or from Mufflex? Is it an cat back or axle back system?

Sweet, mine is being delivered today as well! Snap a few pics of it on before you powder-coat the tips. I'm still undecided whether or not I want to have my tips coated.

Mufflex mufflex mufflex!!!!!! So worth it! Save $300+ and spend it on something else. Kit fits perfectly and is high quality. Tips look amazing everybody loves them and the best part is still that you can spend the multiple hundreds saved on other car parts! Mufflex trust me.

Holy crap...just tried to install the mufflex kit. All was smooth until you try and put the tip on. No way it is supposed to slide on and make adjustments. I had to pound it on with a rubber mallet it was so tight I couldn't even turn it. Both sides are the same. So...I'm taking the tips and bypass to an exhaust shop to expand the tip a little to be able to slide it right on and make proper adjustments. Did any have this issue? On a bright note. It sounds AMAZING!!!!!!! if it weren't for the sound I would be a little upset that it didn't fit together well. Thanks guys.

Wow, that tight of a fit huh? I'm dropping my tips off to get ceramic coated on Saturday. He said it would be about a week to a week and a half turn-around time. Now the waiting game...

I will post up pics later, but first impressions now that the mufflex has been powder coated is...
-fitment is not great at all. The passenger side tip will slide on as far as I want to be flush with the rear valance. looks perfect! The drivers side only slides on so far and sticks out about 1.5 inches. Not terrible look but it would be so much better to have it flush. So the passenger side has to be moved out obviously to meet up the drivers side.
-The tips sit quite low and are not tucked up into the factory cut out, drivers side is worse than the passenger. (dont know why the passenger side fits better overall)
-The most important part...THE SOUND...Absolutely perfect!!!!!! Zero drone, start up and idle is perfect! Driving is great too, not too loud, but when you get on it now it sounds like it is supposed to.
overall happy with the system, and I need to spend some time messing around with the fitment. I will have to modify some things to make it fit better and didnt want to have to do that but it was worth the sound and to save more than half the price of borla helped. Thanks for the help here!

Put mine on yesterday. I feel about the same. There is a guide/bump on the factory exhaust on the driver's side that the Mufflex runs into, which make the exhust stick out a bit. No choice but to have the passenger side match.

I'd MUCH prefer it flush.

Might see if I can get the tips cut an inch on both sides to see if that would allow me to slide them on a bit further.
