Re: Cai

Just installed this over the weekend aFe #51-12662

VERY happy with build quality, fitment and appearance! Took about 1 hour start to finish...no modification needed!

Trickiest part was making enough room to get to the bolt behind the washed reservoir...this is used to secure the heat shield

Installed!! Not fitment or clearance issues at all...

Anyone successfully remove this trim piece (if so, how?) and any thoughts on whether it helps temps/air flow/performance vs allowing water in?

NOTE I DID remove the flap above the headlight...seems like a no brainer to allow more air into there from the front as well!!!

Re: Cai

Looks nice! Plus the filter isn't a nasty blue color like some of the other brands.

Re: Cai

none of those are true CAIs...they are short ram intakes.

I have a TRUE CAI for sale if interested. I had over $577 invested and I will sell for $350 shipped. Its the bwoody true cai with k&n drycharger, powdered metallic red anodized(but can be powdered or painted any color) T bolt clamps, and washer tank with harness for full conversion. Very easy 30 minute install with picture instructions. Ill add a pic in a moment. This CAI keeps your intake temps 4-10 degrees above ambient according to my data logging...even in stop and go traffic.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Re: Cai

Only true CAI for our SRTs is Bwoody, I've tried almost every short ram intake on mine an none of them lower intake temps as much a Bwoody, imo I would get a system that makes a difference or keep my stock air box. Mof the short rams when at a stop light gets hotter than oem.
