I lived in the stone age film world until recently when I bought my first digital camera (Olympus XZ-1) and never thought I could load/download an image. With some practice, I actually did, right on this forum. First, make sure the photos you are going to use are downloaded onto your computer, then use "submit reply" with "additional options" and follow all instructions very carefully. You can practice by using your favorite photo as your avatar. Use "User CP". Good luck!

Re: CAI equals 11+ HP

How does that system make any sense increasing HP. Its sucking hot air in the engine. If anything you are losing power. Drawing air from a hot engine compartment espically during summer months will slow you down.

True cold air systems use a sealed air filter housing and draw air from the grille or fender area. Factory filer box is a better setup, just add a k&n

Its just HYPE !

100% HYPE IMO. Any "gains" are "placebo" effect. Some years back a crew on one of the LX forums did extensive dyno testing on CAI's. In some of the tests they removed the air filter entirely and came up with 0% gains.

Re: CAI equals 11+ HP

look at www.bwoodyperformance.com and tell me what u guys think. I have always used VOLANT but like the idea it pulls the cold air from the bottom of the front bumper but what about rain?

Use some common sense and don't drive in deep standing water. The filter sits ~15" from the the bottom of the filter to the ground. For everything else an oiled filter and dry charger will be fine for any water that may get on it.

I run the bwoody on my WK2

Re: CAI equals 11+ HP

put the hennessey CAI in yesterday! gas mileage is definately better. i am shocked. atleast 1 mpg quite possible 2 around town. i did a 0-60 run and ran a 4.8 but engine was at running temp and it was 70+ degrees out. my personal best is 4.4 sec, 19 degrees temp and engine was not at max operating temp. i will do some better runs and have plans to go to tract this weekend. i hope to show some decent improvement in 1/4 times.

i live in nj and this past weekend it was rainy both days. track was closed. i ran some 0-60 pulls in an old supermarket parking lot and kept losing traction. I did about 3 runs nothing special ranging from 4.5 to 4.8. temp was around 55 degrees. so till another day!

Re: CAI equals 11+ HP

I was able to run a 1/4 mile with the hennessey cai in today. My personal best prior to cai in evis was 13sec at around 19degree temp. Today i ran a 12.8 sec on evic and it was 47degrees. Same road, same exact stretch of road.
I will post evic photo as soon i can.
