Did they say anything about exit location? In that pic its got a middle rear exit...wondering if that's just a pic from the wk1? Or will they have middle rear exhaust for the wk2 (maybe including a reworked bottom bumper piece).
All those who haven't followed the SRT exhaust threads understand that the SRT has 2 flapper valves in the exhaust the regular 5.7's don't. Remove the valves with MDS still active and you lose low end torque and can get a horrible drone when MDS is active.
Of course a tune that turns off MDS solves the problem......
And I am 99% sure they won't be messing with center exit. The cost to relocate parts and supply a new bumper lower would make it far more pricy than most would pay and they need volume to make money.
You can turn MDS off simply by pushing the Tow/Haul button on the wk2. Speaking only according to my experience with Corsa, even with MDS active the drone is barely noticeable.
Yep, starting from the front a CAI, throttle body, head work, headers, high flow cats and a custom exhaust with a tune should be well into the 500's. Probably in the 525 HP range with good torque. Go forced induction and you could get well past that and have monster torque. It's all about cubic dollars
