Demon Performance super charger kit for 2014 SRT

After speaking to the guys at Pro Charger yesterday they directed me to Demon Performance. Pro Charger guys are big fans of Demon.. Spoke to Skip at Demon. He spent about 1/2 hour on the phone with me. They have a completed kit ready to go for the 2014. From what he told me the kit sounds very very impressive in terms of the construction and thought that went into it. THE BIG BUT! Yes, the kit is available but they are still working on the "TUNE" They did tell me that this kit with a tune on a 2013 SRT with full Kooks exhaust made almost 200HP at 7 pounds! Has anyone had a DIRECT experience with Demon performance?

Forza on here has there kit and has them going for the 700+whp mark there is a thread on the red site. problem with the 6.4 is the pistons they don't like boost reason they went with a safe 7

Re: Demon Performance super charger kit for 2014 SRT

Demon has been great with me... They still have the Jeep. Not because of any problems, just I'm being greedy and wanting more. LOL. The bad part is being the first to do some of the stuff and having to wait for parts to be made. Skip's partner Nate was actually a FA18 mechanic in the Marines and they both have had lots of experience (especially Skip) with superchargers. At this point there has been no issues with the Procharger, belt alignment or slippage, no fueling problems, and no issue with the tune(which should be finally dialed in). Their getting the internals forged for me through Pro Line Racing engines. Been waiting for Mahle to deliver the new pistons and rods, also Fore is making a return fuel system upgrade for the added power, and adding 2 450 fuel pumps. Going to lower the compression to be able to increase the boost more. They are going to try to go to 15 pounds of boost and see what we end up with. Even though it has been a slow process for me, who ever they do next should be easier since they were getting extra parts made for future builds. This build has been very successful, due to their planning and wanting to get it right.

Re: Demon Performance super charger kit for 2014 SRT

Engines going back in now. Should be up and running soon. Had to wait for some of the performance parts to be manufactured and developed. Such as pistons which are CP's. Return fuel system by Fore Innovations is almost complete, still in their hands. There was a whole lot more that went into the engine than just forged pistons. I wanted a reliable build with quality materials, so I had to wait. Also since there is not much call for mods to a 6.4 Jeep SRT compared to other vehicles the manufacturers put it on a lower priority to get parts developed.

Again, there was nothing wrong with the way things were prior to building the engine. It's just that I wanted more and the only way to attain that was to forge the engine, and since that was being done why not do more. Now, if I still want more next year I'm all set to move up to an F1 without too much more effort.

Re: Demon Performance super charger kit for 2014 SRT

I don't know if I ever posted the times on mine prior to starting phase II of my build. It was running 3.35 0-60 and 11.74 quarter mile. With the new upgrades should be around 11 second quarter mile or into the 10's hopefully. Phase III will be cosmetic stuff, like some custom paint work done on the exterior and leather upgrades to the seats.

Is your computer a PCM swap? Who did your tune? There is a RIPP install and his 0-60 got .1 slower 4.1 to 4.2...

Either way, that's awesome. Thanks for the updates. Once done we need some new "fastest WK2" videos

Re: Demon Performance super charger kit for 2014 SRT

Not a PCM swap. Johan did the tuning on it. He had been tuning on some other 6.4's but not any Jeep's with FI prior to mine. So he had an idea of what a 6.4 could take. There was a lot of data logging done, not on a dyno to make adjustments after the initial dyno runs. At 3.35 0-60 traction becomes somewhat of an issue for launch, so I might have to figure that one out a little better.

Actually this has been corrected to 3.7sec 0-60 with safe trans pressure

Thanks

Great to hear! Thanks for the update. It really sounds like the learning curve was the issue for tuning and not access. This is awesome.
