It's interesting you say that Scott. Are you running a tune? I found a quote regarding this issue.
"We proved on the dyno last year that removing the suitcase muffler resulted in a loss of low end torque..., we replaced the suitcase with the Magnaflow built in X crossover and deleted the rear resonators and exhaust piping from the rear axle back. It sounded great but the end result was a loss of nearly 20 at the wheels from stock setup. You need a tuned exhaust or mufflers to keep a little back pressure in the system.
If you keep the stock suitcase in place you'll be fine with the resonator delete...I would not change both."
They claim a proven dyno loss. Hmmm.
