Fastman Throttle Body

I received the fastman throttle body today, cannot say enough good things about it. The work is top notch and there was an absolute difference in performance. fyi: i already had the Henessey CAI installed.

here is the difference that i noticed. for science sake i was not trying to get the best 0-60, but rather a consisted one. so my stock run i just put the truck in sport mode and simply slammed the gas. i did not do manual shifting as this might alter the 0-60 time and be less consisted. so this morning in 46 degree weather i did 0-60 in 4.6 with no wheel spin and maybe a slight chirp of the tires 3 times. engine temp was 190 degrees.

i installed the fastman throttle body, drove the truck 3 times through out the day for short errands to get the truck accustomed to the TB. I then went to the same road, same, direction. and did 3 more 0-60 runs. engine temp was nearly identical 190 degrees which seems to be operating temp. i again put the truck in sport mode and attemped my first 0-60, epic fail, i ran a 4.8 and tires were spinning as well as traction control light came on. the truck then missed the shift and fuel cut off kicked on.

i then ran the truck a second time same road, etc and same experience. for the third try i kept the truck in sport and just shifted manualy. the truck ran 4.3 which is by far the fastest i have had out of the truck. there was still excessive wheel spin and traction control kicked in again. but there is no question the TB added significant power and second i am confident i could get 4.0-4.1 0-60 with the 2012 jeep.
hope this helps others in making a decision. i have posted 2 photos demonstrating the difference in the bore of the stock vs fastman TB.

So my fast man tb is bad now with only 500 miles on it and Fastman not doing anything. Not happy at all. He said send it back and I will fix it mechanically but it will cost u. Not happy. Every time I drive it I have to reset it before driving. Not happy with the customer service.

Earlier in this thread you mentioned you preferred Fastman vs MMP because it was "much more professional", I'm curious why you say that. Please pm me if you don't feel want to discuss it open on the boards.

I'm debating the MMP fully polished 87mm vs Fastman 84mm, but for aesthetic reasons I am more interested in the MMP.

Ive had both and the fastman was MUCH better finished. The MMP just stopped and left a line where the taper bore stopped. Fastman has been doing this a LONG time and is an artist!

If it's available get F&B. They stand by their products 100%. They replaced the blade on mine because my boost was bending in when it closed and boost slammed into it. Very nice, very professional

Hey guys,

Anyone having issues with the Fastman TB? My 14 GC has been acting up after the TB was installed and step by step instructions followed. It intermittently surges and displays an error message with the ACC/FCW.

I sent the throttle body back to Fastman after a service appt. with the dealer that determined it was the throttle body (they were not informed of the Fastman TB).

Fastman checked / tested and returned the TB and suggested I run through the steps again and ultimately do a battery reset... All were done with no improvement or change.

The vehicle broke down after more consistent throttle surging and error messages. I was 4 hours away from home and obligated to get the vehicle towed to the nearest dealer for repair. Now I'm waiting on word!

Feedback is appreciated

I'm not attempting to bad mouth Fastman's TB's but, I am trying to figure out why mine didn't do well... Dan has been very helpful over the phone providing me with troubleshooting options... I've exhausted all of them and went back to a stock TB. Breaking down while I am with my wife and kids and 4 hours away from home can put a damper on a part that was to increase performance rather than break down.
