GTHaus Question

Picking up a 2014 SRT on Monday and have been looking at exhaust options. The GTHaus is one option I'm considering but am worried about cold weather performance. What exactly opens and closes? Anybody run this exhaust in a winter climate?

Re: GTHaus Question

Hi,

I don't have the GTHaus myself, but from what I could gather in my "search" for an anftermarket exhaust, the valves allow to choose between a closed mode (exhaust gases routed through the resonator, more silent but less direct flow) and an open mode ("direct" exhaust bypassing the resonator, or more exactly going straight through it, much louder). Check the pic here, it should make things clearer: GTHAUS Meisterschaft Exhaust Systems

Not sure anyone could test in proper winter climate as first deliveries happend about a month ago.

Re: GTHaus Question

Another question, does anyone have instructions to wiring up the GTHaus valves?

Re: GTHaus Question

I have the GTHaus, I live in Canada.. never had an issue. Got mine on in January. (coldest winter month)

There are no instructions for the wiring that comes with, but any muffler guy can see how it all works. In shipping, your valves *will* shift to open or part way open so before installation, make sure you guy lays things out, sees how it works and then looks inside so he can manually close or open the valve before install so once installed and wired up, all is fine.

Congrats on your beast - I freaking love mine.

Re: GTHaus Question

Cheers Mate, and thanks for all the videos and your review as well.

Certainly helped me make a few decisions.

I will try to get it wired up soon. Just didn't have enough time today.
