Initial Thoughts on Mufflex Delete

I have had the Mufflex rear resonator delete kit on my 2013 Alpine for about a week and a half now. First impressions.. Look - Great. Tips were pretty easy to get aligned straight. They do stick out more than OEM, but I like it. I would recommend doing a little tack weld when you have them where you want them. Sound - cold start is awesome and loud. WOT is awesome as well. Cruising is where I have some issues. I have a 2013 and therefore I have the 5 speed and not the 8 speed. I have heard that people who have this exhaust say there is no drone, I definitely have drone and it's pretty bad in ECO mode. It's bad once I hit 5th gear and then get anywhere around 70-80 mph.

I love the look and sound and probably can live with and get used to the drone. That ECO mode is brutal though.

Not bad for $300.

Re: Initial Thoughts on Mufflex Delete

Good info. I've considered getting those but I like the stock black tips. I may end up having my local shop just make me some.
