The tuner built the tune entirely from scratch...which took a few days.

We have to go back and tune more - there is quite a bit of surging and power delivery needs to be evened out, but she delivers a ton of power and kicks like a mule!

Transmission needs some tuning as well...there are issues there too.

Slips into sport mode on its own while it indicates Auto mode on the dial, but Sport mode on the cluster.

Talk about the bitter with the sweet :-)

Hopefully when someone figures out a way to get into 2015 you can swap back and alleviate all of the new issues.

some one said we buy them it should be the owners option to do as they see fit within the law.

They absolutely are! Chrysler is no different than other makers with regards to locking the computers...they're all dicks when it comes to this. That said, this truck lends itself to a blower as if it was supposed to be stock equipment.

Best bang for the buck on any gas vehicle I have seen is a blower, and this one just cries for a PD blower...just because she's AWD and weighs 5300 LBS. PD blowers are perfect for this application! I'd do it all over again. My issues are being fixed one by one and nothing that would make me NOT want to d this all over again. I will probably go for some forged internals next year and just untap what's left in the tuning for the blower; about 80 more HP IMO.

Re: installed new whipple 2.9

Haven't tested my 0-60's yet. Want to iron out the transmission issues before that...and so far - haven't sorted them out yet.

It looks like you are one of the guinea pigs that I'm waiting for. I contacted Whipple as soon as I ordered my 2015, they are still "working" on a tune for 2015.

Re: installed new whipple 2.9

True they don't have a tune, because they haven't been able to unlock the 2015 ECU. We bought a 2014 unlocked and tuned it from scratch on the dyno and in the streets. She's pushing a cool 580 RWHP but dialed down from over 650 or so. Aside from the stupid transmission (WOT) shift issues (due to increased power), she runs perfectly.

I don't use canned tunes on gassers. I always dial it in on the dyno.

I made the decision to go with some forged pistons and rods, which I'll do late summer when I have time, and unleash the rest of the power left in there.

Re: installed new whipple 2.9

Looking to put the whipple in, just wondering how this will go in the snow, with winter tires? Is there anyone here with the whipple that has been in the snow with it? Thanks for the help

Re: installed new whipple 2.9

Be careful with the shifting issues. Mine did the same thing a few times in Auto.
