Re: Jet 180 Thermostat for 2014 GC SRT Part #

I just put in my thermostat and I'm pulling my engine light now I have a Diablo tunder as well dose anyone have the setting to help me turn off my engine light. The code I'm running into is the thermostat not opening and closing or something like that. I could really use the help.

Thanks in advance

The jet shouldn't be throwing a code. I would take it back out for inspection/replacement less others chime in. Had mine in since purchase in 2014 with no issues. It could be air in the system. There is a funnel that connects where the rad cap does then u fill it with antifreeze and let the engine run for 30 min or so. I did mine on car ramps so the nose was up in the air. Others simply let it fill from the overflow naturally during cool down after cycling full temp, full cold again and again allowing it to suck from the overflow during cool down.

Simplewon, thanks I'm going to try looking for a custom tune and see if I can resolve this fix. All this was done to my friends jeep with no issues very frustrating

I have had mine in for over 6 months and i get a code every day. Mine just does not get warm enough in the allowed time. so i guess the only fix is a tuner to adjust the settings?
Thanks

Tune won't fix that. The tune does not have any affect how fast it warms up, only way to do that is thru the tstat. Try the valucraft from autozone. Part #4128 it's 185 degree tstat the jet is 180. I've never thrown a cel with that one. Fit is a bit snug but does slide in. When it fails it gets stuck open instead of closed like the jet, this is a big reason why I run the valucraft. Reuse the gasket you have as it does not come with one
