Dealers will say "that sounds amazing, what is on there?" I mean, that is exactly what they said when we pulled into the service lane the other day. You do not need to worry about voiding any warranties with a full system unless something breaks directly related to the exhaust, which doesn't happen. Now, if you end up damaging something in the motor because you are running too lean because of a tune you did for the exhaust, then the warranty is void due to the tune.

in the end, an exhaust is about the safest thing (warranty wise) that you can do to a car without any push back from the dealer. This is from my experience though, take it for what you will. Calling your service adviser is always a good idea before doing anything.
MT is exactly right. Just talked to a local service advisor and he damn near said the exact same thing.

Thanks man. I have been doing work on my Goat for about 7 years. While I may not be an old timer I try to do my research the best I can and share it with others.

You guys see the completed video from Kooks?

Re: Kooks LTs and 3" system

This may be a stupid question lol but what exactly do those "flaps" in the factory exhaust do?

From what I understand it is for the drone when your MDS kicks in.

Right, the flaps are vacuum controlled. When the MDS kicks in, the vacuum pulls the valves "closed" reducing the amount of air traveling down the pipe making noise.

What are your thoughts on the cat back system? I plan on running the Hennessy cai with it also.

Re: Kooks LTs and 3" system

Also any dyno results on the cat back system? Just curious to see what its producing. I ordered the Hennessey cai tonight and want to pair it up with a nice exhaust system.

Catbacks prove to show little if any gain of hp. Get the catback that provides the best sound you like.

Getting the long tube headers are a different story. The stock headers bottle the air. And with a tune for it, you can gain up to 40 hp.
