Should see my 2015 Borla ATAK go on this week so keep you posted on that front. Hard to compare if they aren't lined up side by side though.........

Re: Loudest cat back exhaust???? NOT INCLUDING GTHAUS

'15 ATAK and RMs went on today!

Totally exceeded my expectations re sound and handling. Loud at idol (enough for me) roars like a beast on WOT and..... Zero drone. Just spent over an hr around town and on the highway in all drive modes and paddle shift and its hectic.

For those on the fence who aren't opting for GT Haus I would not hesitate on the Borla.

😝

Two completely differant systems man I've heard both and Cabin noise is night and day with the Gtahus to the Borla Period!

As far as soundng Borla is loud Gthause is Tuned again completely difffeant again.

We describe Gthaus as a Exotic Muscle car sound while everything else is what you would expect from and American muscle car Staight pipe muffler setup with the exception of Dron to them being from ok to bad depending on the MFG.

Not really any comparison aside from price ask anyone who has had both and who curently owns Gthaus Cabbin drone does not exist no other system can say that producing the DB's outside the car like Gtahus delivers!

I hear from Gthaus owners all the time telling me they are so happy they switched and how it's no comparision and when they see people comparing them they laugh now that hey have had both. True story I've heard it more than once. Ask Toxic SRT he will tell ya he is the most recent switch and knows first hand from Troopers Truck and his side by side! I'm sure heir are plenty more not sure who is on the forums or not these days.

Thread is loudest Cat back and Kooks owns that one hands down!

Kooks is the loudest with out the headers, or with headers?

Re: Loudest cat back exhaust???? NOT INCLUDING GTHAUS

I recently ran into a guy with a 2015 with kooks hearders and cat back system. It sounded mean at idle and had a nice sound at wot. I was not inside his truck so can't comment on cabin noise. He did a few fly byes with me parked on the side of the road. I thought it sounded pretty sweet but not as loud still as the gt huas when opened. I then did I fly bye for him and he couldn't believe it. I could see the look on his face and when I pulled up he was stunned and said he liked the gt haus better now lol. Said it sounded meaner at wot. Good only knows what headers and a gt Haus system would sound like.

On a side note he said on the same Dyno in similar conditions he went from 370 whp to 430 whp with the full kooks system before the tune and CAI. I thought that was generous but that's what he stated. He had a tune and a CAI as well and his truck did move out hard.

I'd get the kooks cat back and if you choose to want louder down the road get their header set up. It still sounded mean and there's a substantial performance gain as well.
