Purchased the Mufflex kit last week and got the 5" tips power coated black today. I love how they turned out and will be getting the install done Saturday!

Please let us know how the powder coating holds up to the heat, I noticed with my Mufflex install that the included SS tips get much hotter than the stock SRT elephant ear tips did. I painted the inside of the new tips with VHT Brake Caliper paint, and even that High Heat paint seemed to burn and wrinkle some. I hope your new coatings will handle the heat, as they look very nice.....I considered going to a ceramic coating, and talked with a local coating company, but I've gotten used to the look of the SS ones now on my Graphite SRT, and most people think they look good, I had originally hoped to retain the stock tips and use them with the Mufflex system, but too much modification would have been needed. Hope yours work out nicely for you

Will do...the shop that did mine has power coated a few exhaust tips before over the years and he told me he hasn't had anyone complain about the coating breaking down. He also told it's all in the prep work and that if thats not correctly done, the coating would break down.
