Re: My Livernois Whipple build

The supercharger is pullied to run 7-8# of boost on these trucks. Something we spent a great deal of time determining the proper level of reliability, performance, and consistency.

Glad to see she's up and running, definitely go out and have fun with it!

There is a bit of whine, but nothing crazy. Just the right amount IMO. Driving 'normal' in traffic, it is barely noticeable.

And, yes, she pulls good.

Not yet. I was out at the deer lease all weekend away from the Jeep. I'll try to get some more this week.

Re: My Livernois Whipple build

Have to have fun with it, right? Several days ago I tried a 0-60, but left too hard and simply lit the tires up and gave traction control fits through 2nd gear. Last night I tried a different approach and just rolled into the throttle, only raising the RPMs to ~1200 before letting off the brakes.

First successful 0-60 run:

Second:

Both runs without launch control, just rolling into the throttle.

Good times!

Re: My Livernois Whipple build

I finally got some time to put it on a dyno this morning to validate the AFR under load - we were shooting for .75 and it was closer to .82, so we only ran up to ~4k. Livernois is making some tweaks and I'll schedule another dyno at some point.

I won't say at this time as we didn't run full; no need to muddy waters with numbers that will be taken out of context. I'll post the true numbers once I get the updated tune and throw it back on the rollers for a full pull.

I might be selling my kit...don't know yet as I'm weighing options. Check out the F/S section...

Why are you selling? Didn't you just put the Whipple on?

Yea, as stated in the f/s thread, my dad and I got a deer lease that the Jeep isn't going to work on. I'm selling the Jeep and getting a truck.
