New AFE Intake for Jeep SRT

Cold Air Intake System Stage-2 Magnum FORCE Pro 5R Stage-2 Intake System;*Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 (WK2)*12-14 V8-6.4L HEMI 54-12662 - aFe Power

Anyone try this one yet? Looks pretty good to me. I had a AFE intake on my old BMW 135i and liked it.

AFE says this intake won't be available to ship until 1/14/15.

Re: New AFE Intake for Jeep SRT

IMO... its a $300 higher Injen with the only benefit being a large diameter pipe and maybe a better seal on the heat shield/hood. Honestly, was expecting something a bit more than what AFE has delivered but at $400+ I'll be keeping my injen...

$225 more than the cheapest Injen. Yeah I was hoping for a little more as well, but since the aftermarket for these trucks is slow to say the least it looks like a pretty good alternative. At least the hood will may be close for this one, unlike Corsas...

Re: New AFE Intake for Jeep SRT

28HP? Seems a bit steep. Is that normal for only an intake on these trucks?

Re: New AFE Intake for Jeep SRT

They used my jeep to make this kit, pipe is 3 1/2" out to 4" at the coupler. Then there is a reducer that bolts to the heat shield that the intake tube clamps to that goes from 4"- 5 1/2". The filter is pretty big, it actually feels better than the bwoody and intake temps are the same. Motor seems to rev easier. they are suppose to come out with a sealed version also, I have been really trying to push that and making the tube plastic instead of metal. As for the hp I thought it was a bit high but the stock intake slowed me up 3 tenths in the 1/8 compared to the bwoody. As for power between the 2 it's arguable just feels better with the afe

Do you have any pictures of this installed? Did you go with the grey (dry) or blue (oil) filter? Any updates after 5 months of use? Thanks for any additional info!

Re: New AFE Intake for Jeep SRT

People who have this intake installed...please post photos of the unit installed and your thoughts on build quality, change in performance/mpg and any other helpful information. I am leaning towards this intake (Pro Dry S with the gray filter) and would like to hear what people this that have the aFe Magnum for the SRT...thanks!
