New Amsoil 0W-40

I received an email the other day that Amsoil is finally making oil specific for our SRT among other Chryslers and the GT-R.

Just passing the info along for all you shade tree mechanics.

Re: New Amsoil 0W-40

thanks for the heads up!

i have been looking to see if they would make it for us. the only question is if we can extend drain intervals, and how to trick the computer so that the dealer will not void warranty for negligence if there was a warranty issue.

Re: New Amsoil 0W-40

No tricking necessary, I have changed my own oil on my 12 and now 14. It mentions how to reset in the owners manual even, its also posted on here somewhere. I currently am just using the Pennzoil Ultra (pretty good oil) but will keep a eye on this one. Thanks.

Just follow this process to rest oil change indicator.

1. Without pressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the ON/ RUN position (Do not start the engine).
2. Slowly depress the accelerator to the floor and release it three times within 10 seconds.
3. Without pressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP button once to return the ignition to the OFF/LOCK position.
