i bought the Billet Technology oil catch can for my 2016 SRT. sorely disappointed.
1. The bracket they shipped wasn't long enough (yes my order indicated this was for a 2016 SRT).
2. The hole pattern on the bracket they shipped was incorrect (too close together).
3. The new bracket they shipped was a pain in the ass. The through holes they drilled in the aluminum bracket are way too big for the mounting machine screws and there are interference/clearance issues. It is physically impossible to mount the catch can with the hardware they provided. Fortunately, i had some spare hardware laying around and got it done.
4. the instructions are useless. I mean, the pics don't even match the current vehicle design
This could (should) be a 15 min job. instead it's hours all said and done. Scratching my head, questioning if "this" will work, or "that." Running back and forth to the toolbox (if you're not running to the hardware store!). It just pisses me off that something so simple has to be a "owner re-engineer" job.
As of Nov 2016 Billet Tech is not ready to ship these. I speculate they have not actually installed one, prior to production, in an actual 2016 SRT. They obviously short-cut and just adjusted some pre-existing design. Busted Billet Tech! Get you sh_ together. Ironically, their website, professing "do not accept cheap imitations" convinced me to pay the super premium from these guys.
I got 'er done, and it works well. After one week of driving there was already plenty of oil it had caught, but this thing is nothing more than a nice aluminum can with some aluminum shavings as a "filter." Simple design and all are going to be the same. Don't over pay.
BTW, if you select, say "Black" finish on the fittings, the fittings are still the same brass ones, they are just coated. The coating isn't 100%, it flakes off VERY EASILY, and the threads are obviously affected. Just spray paint the brass ones. Which BTW, they couldn't get the threads right either on the can that the fittings thread into, as if you fully set the threads, you're just stuck with whichever position the 90 deg elbow sits at. For example, the hose wants to go vertical to the front, but you are stuck with the position it sits at (possibly facing the wrong damn way you want it!). Just pisses me off. You can't over tighten it... you'll easily blow the soft threads. You can't loosen it to get it in the right pos, then it leaks air. Ughh!!! They could have made two and forever been done, but nope, they just appear to willy nilly cut the threads in. The whole thing is slapped together, which is what any cheap "imitator" is going to do.
have fun.
