JUST INCASE YOU DONT LOOK AT RED SITE...

I thought i better start my own thread and guys can keep an eye out easier with updates since there is very minimal Demon Kit logs about the net.

So the kit arrived and was packed very well to come to Aus without any damage.

the quality of the parts, cooler and piping are all what i expect from team Demon. The welds are very good, powder coating very good and parts in there own sectioned bags so its easier when doing the instal not to mix things up, so well done on thinking of those small but important things to make it a bit easier.

The kit is very very well designed, its hard to explain but when you actually are putting this kit on and see how well thought out the kit is thats when you go ohh wow it really fits like a custom job should.

the cooler really is a big cooler, ive had wrx's and STi's and they just dont compare to this thing.
the pipe work it very neat and fits really good.

The pro charger is just ment to sit there in this space no doubt and looks OEM once fitted.

out of everything there is only 1 thing i dont like and it really isnt a big thing, the washer bottle replacement only has a spot for 1 motor so i may lose my headlight washes, i am upto putting that in so i will look at clearances and see if i can pop another hole in and get that going but not a real issue.

i will throw some pics in and get some more once i get back to finish it off later this week. I will then be starting the utube vids because you wanna see it in action and action you shall have :D

(*enjoy the ride and PLEASE stay on topic and no negative crap.*)

so 10 days after starting up the car and nothing new dasko?

I'm sure that you are more then excited to share some new pics, videos etc by now! I figured that you would be all up on this, considering the effort you spent into trashing livernois and ripp every chance you get.

i honestly would love to , BUT this site is not exactly a friendly community at times .
I personally feel that MY error of having my radio on for a long time leading to the volt drop and pcm issue would be unfairly put onto demon performance or diablo. We all know that they seem to be not to welcome here at times.
At the end of the day the FACT that a warning comes up for AUS jeep techs to make sure a PCM is instock before commencing a software update due to this voltage drop says it all. I do feel that this will be over looked and all put onto demon.

If i have issue with them , which i have not as yet , then i would post that but since its my error what is the point?

so moral simply is , if your doing tune installs make sure you attach the correct spike resistant battery backup to prevent your PCM being locked , fried or blown up...

fire away

Im a bit confused (not hard to do). In the vid the car was running? Did the battery drop voltage during the "tune" phase of the install, since you had already started the car, if so how did that "damage" the PCM? Can you fix it or do you need to replace it?

After all that, have you been able to drive it yet to see how it goes or do you have to get the tune sorted first?

this is exactly why i wanted to wait to find out the pcm result, so i can give the correct info,
Any way so the car running was my first log while it was still on a hoist bar off.
The log came back with some issues and i was asked to reload the tune, looking back the car went to 11v while that first boost tune was being installed .
The second attempt had the vehicle drop to 8v. I purchased a new battery but i had already done the damage with the trinity failing to locate the pcm.
spoke to jeep and they said its not uncommon for this to happen as these cars drain alot of power with drl and all electronics running while the computer does its thing.
pcm is at diablo now and i should know more in a few hours.

i will add more when i know more, i will say i am not a very lucky person and most things are done the hard way.
please pm any other direct questions.

Ok so update time, well partial. sent PCM to Diablo paid for express international shipping 2-4 days and it took 12 ... hmm .
Any ways i spoke with Mike at Diablo this morning and they had it and have sorted the issues and they are expressing it back to me tomorrow. Mike was very easy and informative to speak with. they have given me great support through this issue so thanks Diablo.

Once i get it back i still need to install it, and then put the srt back together and do another log for Johan .

Once i do all this ill then update you guys.
thanks for being patient .

Thanks grunter,

OK FINALLY had my first drive today to do the first log for johan to check things out. All went very smooth with zero issues.

Everything is working as normal , no codes to report as yet. I obviously did not boost during this log as i will await johan to say when its ready to go.

I know that the difference in the demon kit, the tuning and process for a safe gradual optimal tune for my car and the conditions its in and the fuel it uses.

Its Easter time here now so since my car is at jeep having the header bolt re tightened i wont have access until Tuesday now.
so once i get the updated tune i will load it on Tuesday and then send another log and go from there.

its been a process and there is no denying its been a slight battle with the pcm issue i had, BUT when the jeep guy drove it around the corner and i seen her shine , hear her growl and the blower whistle i knew the pain was worth it. He even came for a log drive as he was as keen as me to listen to it more.

So to everyone holding off and waiting still do , wait until you see the dyno runs i hope next week and then see for your self the difference.
the kit may be a bit more but i can definitely see why, patience and planning is always the winner in the end.

Finally got her back tonight, had to sort the header bolts . we ended up pulling the starter motor out to get in there, we think they were coming loose because the original installer just didn't get them tight only hand tight.
so that fixed new pulley on and logs sent to johan , i still need to connect my AFR tomorrow so johan get dial it in right.
i had to give her a bath , talk about filthy ...

ill keep you posted , but its been a hell of a journey lol....

yes mate , just testing the waters , im in 2 minds.
If i can sell her i will buy a new one in silver (i always wanted silver) then i will from the show room send it off for a 426 stroker and a whipple install plus a tranny upgrade. Since my tuner has it all sorted now i am ready and confident for it to go the full step.

its running like an animal now and as usual i want more go ...
if it doesn't sell in the next few months i will stroke this and seeing as though the D1SC is good for 32psi, i will stay with the centri setup since my tuner has tweaked it now for some good lower boost.

This kit can't be called a demon kit as ive had to improve/ modify alot to get it going like this.

are you coming for a test drive vvM1LESvv LOL

so an update on this mod, i sold the SRT to another rev head back then.
I have kept in contact with him and to this day its still running awesome and he has not had any issues to this day.

i ended up buying a diesel overland for my company car as i needed off road capabilities and it did a really good job.
2 years after that i traded and now have a trail hawk, very happy with it also apart from jeeps lies about map updates.
cheers
