RIPP Supercharger Install on my 2014 Jeep SRT 💨💨

Hey guys, I have just passed the 12,000 mile mark on my 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT and have been enjoying every minute of it. The power and capabilities of this vehicle are incredible. After lowering it twice with both the Road Magnet mid drop and extreme drop, getting 22" gloss black Gen 1 reps, wrapping it, CLS DRL mod, custom paintwork, BWoody 4" CAI, and various other little things, I really wanted to push the performance aspects of my new SRT. After talking to several different forced induction brands and asking lots of questions, I decided on the direction and build I wanted to take my ride.

Performance and reliability were both important to me. My buddy Tom who owns the incredible 14StormTrooper has the RIPP kit and has been telling me to drive his SRT for months and I finally gave in and did it. I was blown away by how much more raw, aggressive, and quicker it was than my own Jeep. I wanted mine to be like that!

He told me about his RIPP supercharger and their customer service so I talked to them and Ross soon had my own kit on the way.

Based on Tom's recommendation, I got the install done at Baily's Hyperformance Factory in Ft Worth and Chris and the guys were great! Picked the vehicle up Saturday 11/8/14 and drove it straight home. Noticed the extra power right away and really digging the sound of the blow off valve. I figure that if I'm going to have forced induction I may as well hear it. Pulling away from a stop at a traffic light, I could feel an immediate difference in power. Merging onto the freeway was effortless and the Jeep pulled hard until I let off at 90 mph.

I'm going to let the transmission get used to 200 extra hp before I use launch control and measure my new 0-60 times. I will be taking a 3,000 mile road trip in the Jeep on Thanksgiving week across the country and plan on measuring my fuel economy as well since some users of this kit are reporting increased fuel economy under normal highway driving.

I'm really looking forward to the new power and aggressive feel of my Jeep SRT and can't wait to enjoy the new gains!! Stay tuned for headers and exhaust install in a few months!

I'll be getting the RIPP as well for what sounds like the same reasons you outlined SRTguy. Will be very interested to hear the outcome of your fuel economy test. I'll be doing somewhere around 1500kms over the xmas/nye break prior to getting my RIPP kit installed. Doesn't seem to be a great deal of info around how good the SRT is on fuel economy and comfort as a long range cruiser.

Re: RIPP Supercharger Install on my 2014 Jeep SRT 💨💨

So I've driven my RIPP Supercharged SRT for 250 miles so far. On Saturday I leave for a 3,500 mile road trip across the country. I'll be getting my oil changed at 500 miles on the supercharger on Thursday just before I leave. I'm excited about the trip and to see what my improved fuel economy is with it. I'll be sure to document all that.

I have done one launch so far since I got the supercharger installed and I pulled a 3.7 second run. That is a significant improvement over my best stock run of 4.4. In the weeks to come, the adaptive transmission will be completely used to all the new power and I expect these numbers to improve.

I have noticed a significant increase of power with this kit since the install. The increased thrust is apparent throughout the entire power band, and it pulls like a freight train. Rolling at almost 40mph and going full throttle results in a surge of torque and slippage to all four wheels as they fight for traction. I have been running 22's on 305-35-22 Pirelli's and am looking forward to seeing how the numbers change with the factory 295-45-20 Pirelli run flats that are going back on for my my road trip. I will be sure to measure performance and 0-60 with the factory wheels as well.

I had a lot of people advise me not to install the RIPP Supercharger until I returned from my road trip but I honestly couldn't wait! One of the main reasons I went with RIPP was because of the simplicity of the kit and their reliable reputation. I thought there would be no better way to test it than installing it 2 weeks before a major road trip from Texas to the beach in Savannah, Georgia and up to the Great Lakes in Ohio then back to Texas. I am looking forward to the journey and the increased power and efficiency I now have. I strongly recommend this kit for anyone looking for more power from their WK2 SRT!
