RIPP Supercharger rev limit question

Hey guys, for those that have the RIPP kit. Do you notice when launching 1st gear goes up to about 6500 rprm. I've loaded the new tune from them but it still almost seems it's revving to high and hitting the rev limiter a little as it shifts from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Are you guys manual shifting or experiencing the same thing. I'm still pulling 3.7 second 0-60 times but think it could be better if it shifted properly.

Re: RIPP Supercharger rev limit question

I have noticed that occasionally with the 3rd tune they made. I ran 3.5 0-60 yesterday with a passenger and full tank of gas which is my best to date. Temp was about 80 with low humidity. I have the 4th tune which is the most recent with the trans improvements loaded on my diablo. Plan on putting it in my truck today and testing to see if there is a difference. I let the truck shift on 0-60 passes. If I want to play around...I like to use the paddle shifters because I can hold a gear longer and you really get to Appreciate the g force from the supercharger boost instantly when you mash the gas pedal.

Thanks. Mine is definitely hitting the rev limit. The new tune didn't seem to make a difference. I'll contact them next week.

Re: RIPP Supercharger rev limit question

Shifts did a lot better this morning. Perhaps transmission is still learning new shift patterns. Didn't seem to hit the rev limiter. Pulled a 3.6 0-60 in my same run spot. Just keeps getting better!

Re: RIPP Supercharger rev limit question

I ran 3.7 yesterday afternoon in the Texas heat. That was my second pull. It's only been getting better. My best was 3.7 in the winter so 3.7 in this heat is a huge sign. Especially considering best time in heat before the Ripp kit was 4.8

Good run! I'm still adjusting my Bypass valve with the new spring I received. Would you mind telling me how many threads on your valve are showing above the nut?

Nice input, good 0-60 - simply update the Diablo Tool and the newer firmware and tunes follow. Remember, there is no TCM control, we cannot shape the trans "feeling" so most of the time its on its own based on calculated load we are delivering ECM side.

We run exactly what our clients run in their vehicles in our own in house test vehicle, we have not changed the tune since July and find the current drive quality acceptable and safe.

Feed back is important, but some parameters are out of our control.
