Because AWD dyno's are extremely expensive and very rare for a shop to have. An overwhelming majority of clientele are going to be RWD performance cars so the added cost to own an AWD is not cost effective for the business.

I've been in contact with Ripp a few times over the last week inquiring about the kit. Matter of fact I am going to the shop later this week to look over the system and take a test drive with Ross if all goes well. According to their video, Stock is rated obviously at 470hp (at the crank=engine)...dynoed at 390rwhp (at the rear wheels) for a drive train loss of about 17%
With the kit installed dynoed at 530rwhp (at the rear wheels) which if you do the math backwards and add back in 17% +\- for loss it gives you 615-620hp (at the crank=engine),

I understand the added cost, but I figured you guys in the US would have heaps of AWD dynos around. Here in Sydney metro area I have 5 or 6 to choose from all within an hours drive of my place. I'm pretty sure the AWD dynos cost a lot more here than in the States.

I love what Ripp have done, and with no disrespect to them, its kinda false advertising to only quote RWD figures on an AWD car.

Someone else mentions 15%-17% loss in RWD mode, in AWd mode that's more like 25%-30%. So a 25% AWD driveline loss equates to 460 odd HP if you use the numbers above.
