Re: RIPP Superchargers 2012-2014 SRT Stage 1 Testing results

I would also prefer black but to be honest it's not going to stop me from getting it. I would probably just have it coated because my plan is to cost the tubing as well for more of a stealth look.

On a new note, is the AWD unit the same as the last gen? If so, where will we run into issues with it power wise?
Again, the AWD really starts to have problems at 600+whp where the metallurgy starts to weaken. At the point we are right now, we are ethically working within the limits of the machine. As we all graduate to wanting more, we'll all have that info available to us.

The last time we tested it was 3.5 0-60 - but it had 1500 miles on the odometer - we will have to retest it once we crack 2500 miles. Its getting close. The product is listed on our site and there is a shipping calculator.

Is your SRT RHD?

To me the description of this kit seem to tick all my boxs as the SRT is my daily drive (and don't want any issue):
- Bolt on to Stock SRT
- Low chance of problems with a Stock SRT
- decent bump in power
WOW - That's pretty crazy - If a centrifugal is not linear...what is?

We find the Centrifugal literally so predictable its scary. In the shop we take bets on HP numbers on new builds. Lets look at it this way - in reality to make 6psi (out of the Vortech unit they produce for us) and an additional 145RWHP (650-/+ CRANK HP) its costing you 25HP at the crank. A positive displacement (roots or whipple) will cost you 60-70 Crank... Period, no one will argue. So next to a turbo the centrifugal costs you the least and yields the most and is the safest.

There is no way industry pros can even begin to argue the aerobatic efficiency of a centrifugal over a other "pumps". Beside, should the centri break down just take the belt off and run stock, you can still breath through it. What happens if a roots or a turbo goes? The Roots closes and you have a 50/50% of closing shut and turbo.... well there's a host of stuff (oil lines, metal through the engine, heat) its just conditions at $20k we don't particularly want to be subjected to as adults and owners of a daily driver "exotic". At the end of the day we want to keep the Jeepness of our SRT and rely on it daily. Then, when its time to lay into get that smile on...

Yea - the black also retains more heat... and there is limited grill space... Lets get a few out there and see what guys think, its an easy fix. We hope guys want to show of the signature RIPP Intercooler. We retained the same end tanks as our Wrangler program behind the 7 Slot Jeep Grill...

He also said that it looks like this kit uses a Blow Off Valve to the atmosphere but we need a "Plumb Back".

So couple of q's for the Ripp guys:
- Does (or can) the kitt include a Pumb Back for the Blow Off Valve?
- Any idea if the kit/tune will meet IM240 emission tests?

Thanks
Nathan

Contact is Garry or Anthony - evo compliance - 02) 9418 9999
The Blow off valve could be plumbed back with a little effort - it would have a 2in Rubber tube go under the throttle body towards the air filter. We have a trick fitting we made for our 2007-2011 Wrangler kit (GEN-1 kit) produced in 2007/08. We can supply that to you and you're done.

Jeep Wrangler JK 3.8 V6

Our calibration are intended to pass CARB... We hold a CARB number for the 07-11 Wrangler 3.8 and are currently testing the 2012/14 kit now. As the SRT 6.4/5.7 kit matures and the public buys into our products, we will make trhe sizable investment into CARB complacency for this platform. That being said the tunes we will make available to the WK2 community will be locked based on the enormous amount of time we spend tuning...

We have lots of Wrangler kit in Australia - we predict you won't have an issue and will try our best to get you through it.

If I read it right.. You did not remove anything from the car (i.e transfer case or drive shaft). Is that correct?

And, you only used the intune and select dyno mode and drive the car for a few feet and it will automatically go into 100% RWD.

They are listed in our dealer list - they wouldn't be there unless they didn't support and like RIPP Products... WE TRY TO KEEP That current.
