Re: Sprint Booster anyone?

Isn't this just boosting how far open the TB blade goes with the same pedal input? Seems to me that Sport/Track mode is giving the increased response, without "boosting" a signal? Please shed any insight ad if this in fact a viable mod please provide some info on what we should know...

To me this just feels like the JET chip that piggy-backed the ECU in my Dodge Dakota inside the engine bay, up against the computer (this appears to go inside the vehicle behing the gad pedal?).

Just oulled a 3.9 second 0-60mph (aFe Magnum Pro Dry S and full cat-back Corsa)...so if by (what I think this does) boosting TB blade opening with like-kind pedal input, and that can make the beast even faster I am DOWN...this just doesn't seem viable IMO. I hope I am wrong!!

It's not how far it opens its how fast it opens with the same pedal input it makes pedal input more sensitive makes the throttle body more sensitive, throttle blade will move faster, it will not make the SRT any faster in a 0-60 launch in launch control mode maybe a bit faster if just mashing the pedal although I don't think so. Another way to look at it: with out Booster mashing the pedal makes the throttle blade fully open in a second with booster it will make throttle blade fully open in 1/2 a second, hope I made sense.

Well in that video of the Wrangler doing the 3 pulls, the throttle % increased with the same amount of pedal input. Thank you for the info...I an kinda picking up what you are putting down...just don't think I worded the question properly.

How does this increase the responsiveness/speed of the throttle blade? Wouldn't the internals of the TB need to be revamped or modified somehow? Seems to me that a ported TB would be a better ROI for $300 than this booster. Does anyone have any data to back-up what the booster has done for their vehicle?

My best 0-60 was without launch, only Sport/Track mode...which I found quite interesting. BUT no complaints going sub-4 seconds in a 5k lb SUV

It's really only noticeable from a roll more so then from stopped. I run one on my jeep and hitting it on a roll really seems to react a bit quicker

Re: Sprint Booster anyone?

If it's the same same sprint booster as the one I had in my last Bmw, it's worth it. Takes the lag off the pedal.

Sprint Booster anyone?

Considering one of these for my '15 SRT. Looking to improve throttle lag and constant and very noticeable in and out of MDS when at lower local road/traffic speeds. Do those that have them still feel they are worth the spend? Do you have to select a mode every time you power the vehicle on or does the booster stay in previous selection? Finally is this considered a tune for warranty purposes? Thanks!

Well worth it definitely makes throttle snappier, I drive mine in green mode all the time & when I put it back to normal you really feel something's missing, like it's sluggish again. When I'm on cruise control I leave it in normal cause you'll notice it comes in & out of MDS a lot more, it stays in the position you selected after car is turned off & when turning car back on. It doesn't affect warranty.

Thnx G-IV. Which one do you have? Did you install yourself?

I am still on the fence. Any more details? Model? Where purchased? Self-installed? Any downside?

Re: Sprint Booster anyone?

I have a 2014 SRT and self installed it in 10 minutes. No downsides except I might get a ticket for speeding. I've been using the red light mode and it accelerates so much smoother at a quicker rate. It doesn't give you more power, but helps unleash what you have quicker out the gate.
You leave your door open for 10mins, unplug the pigtail from the top of the accelerator, then plug in the SB into it, plug the OEM pigtail into the SB, plug in the toggle switch into the side of the SB pigtail, mount your toggle with 3mm tape supplied and you're done.
I was on the fence also bc an Intune is just a hundred more, I bought both anyways. I haven't installed the Intune yet.
Black Ops has them or Amazon.
