Mentioned this on another thread and didn't get a response so i thought I'd give it one more go and see if any of you have a sprint booster?

Has anyone installed one of these sprint boosters on their rigs or know any info about it?? aFe say it'll fit the SRT but I've never seen it til now. Results on the Wrangler are impressive from the vid.

Thoughts?

That's interesting, the vid shows huge improvement dropping the wranglers 0-60 by 10.5 seconds in race mode.

Hard to know if it is just the booster or something else at play they don't let you see much.

I think you mean 1.5 secs. Ten would be way mor then just a plug n play module...

I installed one on my 15'SRT & I like it, it livens up the acceleration but has no effect on 0-60 pulls using launch control, spirited highway driving, passing other vehicles the down shifts are quicker with less throttle input, lots of fun.

Thanks mate, good feedback.

How easy was the install?

Have you concealed the cable for the button switch in the trim anywhere?

Are you running a CAI as well?

Sorry for all the q's just weighing up options ?

Yes notable difference with just the TB in feel, sound and performance. I love it and cannot wait to see how it performs with the new intake.

Interesting to note the gear shifting is a lot smoother now too which has dramatically improved the clunk shifts and awkward 1-2 shift first thing in the morning.

I was having issues with the paddle shifter shifting down on an up shift which now seems to be non existent as well.

Not sure how it could all be related to the TB but it is working for me! ?

I have one on my gen 2 4.7. Running Superchip tune along with CAI. It made a night and day difference. Instant throttle response and it shifts quicker. Well worth the money. It was like a whole new jeep. Throttle lag was terrible on my gen 2 4.7.

It takes 2 minutes, instructions come with it. Pedal stays on! Just a connector above it you unclip and the throttle booster bridges in between.

Undo the negative on the battery first.

Went out to AFE HQ today
Sprint Booster installed
Super easy like fellow members said
Throttle response is awesome in "red" light race mode, especially on highway now in gears 5-8. Instantaneous power w very little throttle pressure. Very cool!

That's funny you asked I actually met the lead designer of the momentum intake for the SRT he noticed my truck outside I have to admit my amazing looking Silver bullet caused quite the stirr down at AFE, lots of compliments
He was actually in the process of doublechecking the final production pieces that came in he said it would be ready any day I even spoke to them yesterdaY "Tuesday" looks like it might be after the holiday although I'll call them again today we're on a first name basis now:)
They even took a picture of my car and put it on there Instagram

Afe power

Take a look

Isn't this just boosting how far open the TB blade goes with the same pedal input? Seems to me that Sport/Track mode is giving the increased response, without "boosting" a signal? Please shed any insight ad if this in fact a viable mod please provide some info on what we should know...

To me this just feels like the JET chip that piggy-backed the ECU in my Dodge Dakota inside the engine bay, up against the computer (this appears to go inside the vehicle behing the gad pedal?).

Just oulled a 3.9 second 0-60mph (aFe Magnum Pro Dry S and full cat-back Corsa)...so if by (what I think this does) boosting TB blade opening with like-kind pedal input, and that can make the beast even faster I am DOWN...this just doesn't seem viable IMO. I hope I am wrong!!

It's not how far it opens its how fast it opens with the same pedal input it makes pedal input more sensitive makes the throttle body more sensitive, throttle blade will move faster, it will not make the SRT any faster in a 0-60 launch in launch control mode maybe a bit faster if just mashing the pedal although I don't think so. Another way to look at it: with out Booster mashing the pedal makes the throttle blade fully open in a second with booster it will make throttle blade fully open in 1/2 a second, hope I made sense.

Considering one of these for my '15 SRT. Looking to improve throttle lag and constant and very noticeable in and out of MDS when at lower local road/traffic speeds. Do those that have them still feel they are worth the spend? Do you have to select a mode every time you power the vehicle on or does the booster stay in previous selection? Finally is this considered a tune for warranty purposes? Thanks!

Well worth it definitely makes throttle snappier, I drive mine in green mode all the time & when I put it back to normal you really feel something's missing, like it's sluggish again. When I'm on cruise control I leave it in normal cause you'll notice it comes in & out of MDS a lot more, it stays in the position you selected after car is turned off & when turning car back on. It doesn't affect warranty.

I have a 2014 SRT and self installed it in 10 minutes. No downsides except I might get a ticket for speeding. I've been using the red light mode and it accelerates so much smoother at a quicker rate. It doesn't give you more power, but helps unleash what you have quicker out the gate.
You leave your door open for 10mins, unplug the pigtail from the top of the accelerator, then plug in the SB into it, plug the OEM pigtail into the SB, plug in the toggle switch into the side of the SB pigtail, mount your toggle with 3mm tape supplied and you're done.
I was on the fence also bc an Intune is just a hundred more, I bought both anyways. I haven't installed the Intune yet.
Black Ops has them or Amazon.
