Re: The cost to replace the stock catback

If you do the Borla. And if you valve's are intact. Just put the Borla axle back's on then you can either go with 3" tubing with reso deleted or just get some aftermarket reso's with the 3" in front of valve's and should be cheaper. Bit of a mismatch, but is working with other's.

Scott ... you know if that system is valve friendly? Or does it delete? These aftermarket systems make me nervous bro! On the fence but I got to see a helluva review before I jump on anything!

Re: The cost to replace the stock catback

Forgot to update. Ended up with a replaced OEM. The $1700+ piece includes all piping from cats back and the right side of axle back. So, I already had 2/3 of the exhaust with that piece ordered. The $700+ piece is the left side axle back muffler/piping. Shop guy said that even though the Borla Atak is cheaper than just that left side piece, he would feel unethical asking the insurance company to buy the Atak and throwing away half of the $1700 order. I didn't feel like hassling with it plus I would have had to do some legwork on my end for the insurance to pay aftermarket (anything OEM was handled directly between shop and insurance).

Interesting thing though: 99% sure my truck had a defect in the stock exhaust. Truck is much more snappier now with the new OEM exhaust and it also has a slightly different tone (better). If so (we'll never know), add this to the list of other potential issues with these first lots of 2012's that sat at Livernois.

For a WK2 SRT8? I don't think so... Corsa just offers promises.

Re: The cost to replace the stock catback

As I already stated in my update, it's already completed and back in my possession, not to mention that is not how my insurance process works.
