Talking thinking about a ported TB....

discuss.....

Now that tuning is coming....I think Im ready to pull the trigger on the hennessey intake and a ported TB from Fastman

5.7L 6.1L 6.4L Hemi V8 Throttle Bodies - The Fastman

or modernmuscle

2012 Jeep 6.4L 392 SRT/8

there are others as well...please post those and lets discuss. I see anywhere from 84mm to 90mm.

Re: thinking about a ported TB....

Very interested in this mod!

Looking forward to hearing from others who have done this as well. I currently have Hennessy CAI and Borla S which has had a very positive effect on performance. I would like to know what additional benefits I should expect by adding a modified TB.

Thanks!

Increased Noise???

Does anyone here know if this mod will indtroduce additional noise? I'm already at my limit of added drama with the new Borla S and the Hennessy CAI. Sounds great, but enough is enough."....

I agree. I cant stand the big honking sound of an open air CAI during normal driving. Im waiting on a semi closed or well shielded version maybe volant or someone will come out with. Dont get me wrong, when I have it floored the sound is fine but tooling around town at a 1/3 throttle you sound like you have the breather flipped on your old Quadrajet.....now a really loud turbo whistle or really loud blower whine to overcome the open CAI would be just fine!

The CAI isn't the real noise maker it's more the Borla that's got me at my limit. I love it, but man it's not subtle....
