Which exhaust should I choose??

Ok guys, I have a 2014 SRT and starting my mods now. I already have a Diablo Trinity tuner for her but have a few questions about which exhaust I should go with. I had SLP Loudmouth 2 for my 2013 Charger hemi and loved the loudness. I don't care for the mellow sound of Corsa or Borla. I also Love the GTHAUS exhaust. But here's the dilemma.... Where do I find a GTHAUS for under $2000? Or is that the cost for buying this exhaust no matter where I go? Also do they even make the SLP Loudmouth for the 2014 SRT? I cannot find one anywhere. I didn't like the "raspy" sound too much on the Charger I had it on but I loved the loudness of it. The GTHAUS sounds less raspy. Is that true in person? Some friends are saying Flowmaster 40 series muffler, and then change out the tips for looks. What should I do for the loudness I am looking for since there's too many directions to go? I already ordered headers and high flow cats.

Should I buy electric cutouts for the loudness I want and install them after the high flow cats and then do a mild muffler for quietness if my kids are in the car? That seems maybe the logical way to go.

Any constructive criticism and input is needed sense I feel like I am being boomeranged everywhere with different people saying this and saying that. I would rather hear it from some Jeep guys than some friend who have no clue about Jeeps. Thank you for any info and help you can offer me.

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

Most people buy the x pipe from gt haus when purchasing the axle back system. Price went up as well. Total will run you around 3500 now. It's pricey. Tips are sold separate as well as the remote to open and close the baffles. I have this system for about 2 months now. I'll just say that it's the best mod I ever did to a vehicle. The sounds make me laugh everyday. Plus I can close the thing to quiet her up. Mpg in cruising on the freeway went from 21.9 to 22.5 as well on same road at 60-65 mph with the system. I have no tune only a cai.

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

Yeah bro I think I'm going to have to pull the trigger on the GTHAUS setup. Sucks that it's half the price of a dang supercharger but oh well. If that's the price I have to pay for perfection then so be it. Ha! It's just hard spending that much money on pipes especially when I'm also thinking about getting the Trackhawk. At least they will be transferable to the Trackhawk if I go down that road. I work for a dealer here in Texas so I get first dibs on one. I have a year to think about it. But nothing beats that sound of the GTHAUS!!

Great exhaust but donít bet on it being transferrable to the trackhawk.

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

Why is that? Placement and fitment or pressure? So I couldn't have a muffler shop custom make a downpipe from the headers to match the x pipe fittings on the GTHAUS?

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

Sure you could maybe have a shop modify it.... Just saying we donít know what the trackhawk specifications are yet because most likely it wont be based on wk2 platform.....

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

True, since the new body stile will be the 2017's. But then again my insider Jeep Rep. told me only a few things will be changing appearance wize. But who knows what that will do to the undercarriage. That GTHAUS is worth getting twice then anyways. Lol!

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

You could also add OBX headers and an X pipe for sound improvement. I just had these installed Monday and love the new sound and added power, especially in the mid range.

Re: Which exhaust should I choose??

We can beat any GThaus price anyone can find on the Net. guaranteed!!!

I have recently lowered cost on it too with free shipping on the xpipe.

The next shipment is due in End of August but knowing them they will be here in Sept. Get your orders in if you want one.

Website is 3476.00 shipped with No remote

xPipe is included with the shipped price above

I can do 3400.00 shipped if you mention this thread.

Powdercoated tips is added 295.00 We suggest getting your tips powdercoated locally
Remote is added 140.00

As far as being interchangable with the Trackhawk we will do what we can to make it even if it's selling a certain section to make it work so the whole sysem won't have to be repurchaced.
