Re: WK2 Bwoody CAI Installed - Anodized Red

I was reading one of Bwoodys posts and he said you have to remove the fender well lining to install, shouldnt be that hard to do though. Hey Mongoose how did she feel after the install? See any difference in your 0-60 on the EVIC?

The fender has to come out for install. You can pull the front half back, but I took the whole thing out. I have the proper tools to remove and replace it like factory.

There is a power gain for sure with the bwoody, plus it sounds f*cking awesome!

I have a very detailed and lengthy install guide on the red site. I also have some videos posted here and on the red site. My best 0-60 currently is 4.2.

Re: WK2 Bwoody CAI Installed - Anodized Red

do your washers work correctly? I installed mine and get fluid coming out for the windshield and rear window at the same time & wipers only come on for one or the other depending on what button you hit. The OEM motor has leads for front and rear but the bwoody only has a T connector which will wet both windows when activated. How do I get it working like OEM again?

You'll need a different washer tank. Check with Mongoose, he is working on fabbing up a tank that will allow the stock leads to plug and work correctly, but the tank that BWoody supplies and you have you can't fix.

This is the reason I have not bought a BWoody, this washer thing is unacceptable.

Re: WK2 Bwoody CAI Installed - Anodized Red

BWoody is working on a fix, they emailed me and told me they would let me know when they have something. At least they are trying!

any details as to what the fix is? I will be home in a couple weeks so it will give me a chance to prototype mine.

For those that aren't members on the red site, I've posted up many observations with the bwoody.

Couple observations:
Does pull in cold air, I measured a couple degree difference over ambient

Drive for 6-7 hours straight in a rain storm for like 450 miles. No issues with water. Down poured at times too.

No issues with car washes

Remember, I run a dry charger over the filter. It repels the water effectively.

Re: WK2 Bwoody CAI Installed - Anodized Red

spend the last 5 hours trying to instal and still didn't fit im really disappointed the down side of the intake where the air filter is has to be located and screwed in to fit but unfortunately its too far and its hanging there ..
and the air sensor is loss and to make things worse it didn't came with any instructions.

thanks Bwoody for wasting my time and effort.

Care to explain more? Any pictures of your issues? Have you tried calling bwoody (well, it's Sunday so probably won't work), maybe PMing them? I have an install guide posted up if you need assistance. Mine took a little tweaking to get the fitment, but nothing wrong with it. I may have my instructions boxed up still. The install is definitely more involved than a typical CAI but this is the first I've heard of it not fitting. They sold many of these. Any more info would be great and pics if possible.
