Re: WK2 SRT8 Borla ATAK

Sounds great but honestly I would have a problem paying 900 bucks for half a catback.

Def sounds good though!

I agree but the dyno results would justify the cost for me

sorry not smart enough to put video into thread!
Newb question but I thought the Jeep has 470HP stock... is the 375HP just to the wheels then? How does that work exactly?

In a nutshell:

Yes, that's the power measured to all 4 wheels. AWDHp. The numbers are affective by dyno type, rear wheel or all wheel, dyno brand, weather, elevation, operator error, dyno correction factor, etc.... It's hard to compare dyno numbers to other dynos. It gives you a relative change during your mods assuming all variables are fairly consistent between before and after runs.

Also, for about every 1000' above see level you loose about 3% of your power. Need to factor in drive train loose. The amount of power needed to spin and overcome the driveline mass. The Jeeps are around 18%

So in the end start with 470hp - drive train lose = dyno number.

I made some GoPro videos yesterday, but you really can't hear the exhaust over the wind noise. With the GoPro sealed in its case (open back) inside and outside the jeep (rear spoiler) it just doesn't really pick up the sound that great. I decided against posting them.

I'd say it pulls a little stronger. But the dyno numbers seem to back up the claim of more hp/tq.
