Re: drop springs......

Was going to start a new thread, but found this one. It was never updated, so hopefully we can get an update from Scott (or somebody else). It's been months.

By the way, just checked H&R and they haven't even made lowering springs for the regular WK2, so we're out of luck. Mopar is our only hope. Hopefully they're available now. Will ask dealer too.

GREAT NEWS!!! Just hung up with Mopar, and no date or even an estimate, so probably not going to happen IMO. THey've been 'releasing' them since April.

Will research Eibach right now. Could you provide more information, like drop, cost, and who to buy from? Thanks man.

I got mine from tunersdepot.com $302. Drop 0.8 front and 1.1 rear according to Eibach. After install it takes a while to settle. I think it will still drop more. I paid $275 for install at dealer with alignment an extra $89. They said they had to drop the gas tank for rears. Took most of the day. Didn't notice much drop initially. Now it looks better.

Re: drop springs......

This is why I don't think I would drop it any more in front. It might get a little low.

Thanks a lot man. I already ordered the spring this afternoon, and looks like I did pretty good: $282 shipped, from AutoAnything. And they had them in stock.
Oh man, so gas tank has to come off? What a PITA. I'll get it done by a Mopar shop at a dealer too. At least I have an installation figure to negotiate if needed; many thanks.

Hey, forgot to ask you how does the truck ride now compared to stock? Is it noticeably stiffer? Or just a little? I'll find out soon enough, but just curious. And finally, the alignment issue. It's obviously needed, but was wondering if springs take a while to settle, is it a good idea to align the truck right away after installation, or drive it around a little with hard stops (forward and in reverse) to settle it quicker? Also curious how much out of alignment your truck was. And do you happen to know the factory specs, especially on negative camber? Thanks again man.

Re: drop springs......

I got a little discount because I know the GM at dealer. The ride is just as good or better. Handling is crisper. Check your pre-height so you can see how much it's dropping. I messed up my measurements. But, I can tell it dropped at least 1" if not more, because I can see across the top of vehicle now. Also, after installation check height between left and right sides. Cannot be pre-torqued on lift. Glad I did alignment because I'm not sure how long it will take to get to final drop height, will wait a few months and get it aligned again. Just be patient for the rear to start dropping.
