Yep same thing happened to me. Most likely ABS sensor.

Re: Eibach - HELP!!!

At the shop right now. They said all sensors looks good. They think the alignment being off a certain way is causing it. We'll see here shortly. Fingers crossed

Re: Eibach - HELP!!!

Well it just keeps getting better. This is my first time to ever drop a vehicle and must say it's been a nightmare. I purchased Eibachs because I figured they are damn near OEM sponsored and very well-known. I did not foresee any of these problems.

The shop's readers couldn't pick up the 2014 codes so they did a manual inspection and used a volt meter. Everything looked good. When the Jeep got off the lift it looked like it was jacked up again. The employee immediately wanted to align it but I insisted we drive it to let them come back down. Otherwise we'd be aligning the Jeep at stock height or higher. Sure enough we drove around the block and it dropped back down an inch or so. This should have been a red flag.

After the drop my steering wheel was cocked to the right some. This shop also uses a Hawkeye alignment machine. I figured they couldn't possibly screw it up with such an advanced piece of equipment. Wrong. I'm guessing the dumb ass made sure the wheels were straight before the alignment instead of having the damn steering wheel straight. Long story short, the wheel is still cocked to the right and everything feels loose.

Pissed off, I went to the dealer. No loaner car!? WTF. I buy the second most expensive vehicle in the entire Chrysler line up and no loaner car? **** YOU SRT. I hope they don't treat the Viper clients the same way. This alone will make me question buying another. Hell, I had a loaner car when I owned a Honda Accord. Dealer said it would be a day or two before they could look at it. I went ahead and left.

Now I've got to go back to the shop in the morning and hopefully the can pick up the codes and fix the problem. Man this is so damn frustrating. Sorry I just needed somewhere to vent.

On a side note I don't feel like the Jeep handles better. It feels sloppier. I expected the handling to be noticeably better. I'm hoping a shock sensor or something is unplugged and not function correctly. That could maybe explain why the Jeep doesn't feel very firm.

You don't have any suspension messages on your EVIC right? Something is for sure up with your jeep. Mine got a lot better steering and handling with both the eibach and the road magnets. I had an ABS sensor go out when I had the eibachs put on which made the car drive weird and only RWD instead of AWD.

I have had a rear shock out for a month now. I got messages to service adaptive suspension on my jeep and I took it in 3 times and they have replaced all the sensors and only thing left to replace is my rear shock. They are on back order 3-4 months because assembly line needs them all. They are trying to get me one off the assembly line but it has not been successful so far. I plan to call SRT when I get a chance. Anyways I was going on a trip across country and they assured me everything would be fine and since that trip my car is like driving a frickin horse lol. It couldn't be any bouncier if it was on a trampoline. All the shocks must be deactivated or something. I can't even keep a radar detector on my windshield anymore bc it falls off every tiny bump. But I am also having issues with my dealership realizing this is a big deal and my 70 thousand dollar car needs to be fixed in a timely matter. I can't wait 3-4 months or they will be replacing a hellova lot more than a rear shock.

But back to your issue I think it's prob something simple. Swapping out the springs should not damage anything besides a sensor at most. There are tons of us on here obviously with aftermarket springs and I haven't heard any other problems. Good luck to you. Chrysler needs to do something about the loaners. My dealership is starting up an SRT service lane which will allow SRT customers to get service first and will also loan out dealership cars when you have to leave them. So I am happy my dealership is stepping up and doing that. But they are also one of the largest SRT dealerships in the country.

Well that explains a lot. My Jeep has been lighting up the tires like crazy. I hate it. That could also explain why the handling feels funny, because it's in RWD and not AWD.

When I start up the Jeep it says "Service 4WD System" "Service ABS" (actually wording may be different). It's also really weird that when I start the Jeep up the parksense works and then about 20 seconds later it disables.

Regarding the shock, even with the springs they are still taking care of it under warranty?

Yep I bet you are in RWD man. Mine was out on a rainy day and I couldn't drive at all because of so much torque lol and that's when I realized it was only RWD.

And so far they are covering it under warranty. They like me and know what I has been doing. But that is the exact reason why I haven't gone in there raising hell over it because I don't want them to get pissed and look into it. But it is getting out of hand. People get in my car and say damn I figured a car this nice and expensive would drive better than this. It rides pretty embarrassing right now.

A-kon:

Sorry to hear this... Sounds like a nightmare for sure... Hope you can wake up soon. I can say the ride and handling with eibachs is tons better... Rides much smoother than the stock on the rear... But it can't tow as much either... But the ride is great... The front end barely dives with braking, unless you really get on it... Either the shocks were wrong in the box or someone did something weird on install...

Hope the shop and fix it... May require you to go back to stock to have them fix, but at least that way you can get back to a flat rock and the. Make the changes...

GOOD luck!

Re: Eibach - HELP!!!

Thanks again for all the help.

My buddy just stopped by and we pulled the code: U1417 "implausible wheel distance signal". Not sure if it's the speed sensor or what. Really hoping it can be fixed tomorrow. I want to hit the 1/4 track Friday night for my first time.

Regarding the handling, I liked the stiffer rear

And here is the back of Manny Fresh for you old Big Tymer fans. He really does remind me of a turtle. Super nice and does not talk/act ghetto whatsoever. I wasn't about to harass him for a photo, that's just weird... so I took one of his back. LMFAO
