lowering springs that keep tow rating.

Wanting to lower our 14 srt. Still being able to tow our 5000 lb boat without jeopardizing the capacity but mainly safety. I wouldn't mind even lowering the back by itself a little to even out the Stance. Rm mid levels look perfect to me but heard they are not rated very high for towing. Suggestions? Thanks.

Re: lowering springs that keep tow rating.

After researching a little, I am thinking just lowering the rear end about an inch or an inch and a half to level it out. Looks like the only options are buying eibach kit and installing rear only. Anyone here done that? It seems alot of people are against eibach kit for rough riding and not enough drop. Thoughts? Im wanting to order something asap. Does anyone have eibach kit they want to get rid of or just the rear? Thanks guys!

Re: lowering springs that keep tow rating.

I would "spring" for the BWoody progressive lowering springs. They lower the WK2 1.2"fr/1.8"rr and they claim to increase towing capability.

Any references? Just now looking at picking up an SRT and been watching the forums for a while but haven't seen anything negative about them.

Re: lowering springs that keep tow rating.

I believe the eibachs keep the tow rating however may not be low enough for some.
The Bwoody's are new to the market but claim they increase tow ability.

I'm pretty sure that aftermarket springs can't increase the legal tow rating for a vehicle. I could be wrong, though. It has happened once

I would have to agree with you on that one... Check out the quote

Re: lowering springs that keep tow rating.

thye are H@R springs that bwoody bashed on previous models. Now that Roadmagnet dropped his vendorship for shady practices he goes to companies he bashed before to sell a product. Roadmagnet cant be beat on the wk2 SRT. They ride stock and give owners many options. They actually do testing and did it for months...almost a year before releasing their springs. Ask them to prove it increases tow capacity and how when towing capacity is NOT just about a vehicles springs....legally.

RM mids didn't do me any good. I bottoms out so many times that it actually popped off my flares in the rear

This is funny is this Mike ^ just not true!!!

Where did u buy them and why din't you complain? They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee!!

I ride on em every day Scott rides on them ever day and so don't 1000's of other people they are the go to springs for the 2012-15 Jeep period!!

We have replaced every spring out their and that is a fact!!! Everyone has been very happy but ^ I hear everyting about these and their isn't one compaint ever!!!!!

So how do I smell BS and ^ this having BWoodys signature all over it aside from me getting calls with him telling people you lose towing capabilities and his springs gain LOL Guess you need a pitch after getting dumped by RM and pushing their springs for 6 years as his own now all of a sudden their junk and theirs a new better spring Haa. This claim just doesn't happen PERIOD nice marketing technique I'm sure someone will dig for a pic of a jeep with a side skirt ripped off even tho the mid drop is two fingers or more from a fender LOL

No spring increases towing and the mids and extreme drop are just fine to tow with unless you have extreme drop a 32ft boat and 3 people in the back seat then you MAY and I use May loosely hit bottom on an extreme bump.

How do I know this?

I had a cutomer with this sitation and he went from extremes to Mids that is all I have ever heard and ever swaped out and he wasnt mad he said he just likes driving the jeep not his pickup and understand the Jeep isn't really ment for towing but is capibale so he chooses the comfort over his Big truck so do I smell BS ^ I have no reason to lie and all the springs speak for them selfs if their is one thing you never read about the RM spring it's issues or confort its the go to spring no need to look anyplace else.
