Lowering + Towing =?
I didn't see this covered anywhere, if it is please point me in the right direction.
I have always lowered all of my vehicles (DD or fun car) and the SRT will be no different (hopefully).
This vehicle will be my DD (and will eventually have 22" reps on it). What springs will allow me to keep the factory tow capacity on a '15?
One thing that I noticed that the SRT does not have that my current DD does (08 TBSS) that I love is rear air suspension (criticize the TBSS all you want, yes the 14+ is a far superior vehicle in everyway, but at the time of purchase the TBSS was better than the SRT for what I needed it to do- AWD to drive anywhere year round, lots of power, comfort/ size of a SUV, and to be able to tow my fun cars to the nearest 1/4 mile track... which the at the time SRT could not feasibly do).
For those of you who don't know.. the TBSS has rear airbags that keep the ride height the same even with the weight of a trailer on it (and are very easy to lower the rear- adjusting the sensor on where you want the height to be) They also have a feature I have used 100 times more than I thought I would which is a built in cubby that comes with a air hose attachment to allow you to hook up to the compressor and inflate tires, balloons, inflatables etc.... GREAT for putting air back in tires at the track etc.
Has anyone incorporated a similar setup on a SRT (other than doing a full air ride setup)?
Maybe like a "helper" airbag inside the spring to be inflated when towing? (there are drag race setups for mustangs that incorporate bags in the shocks to be inflated or deflated during launches at the track)
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated
