Road Magnet Aggressive Drop

I am planning on putting my road magnet springs back on tomorrow morning. As every one knows my rear shocks went out and I had a hell of time finding warranty replacements.

Anyways- I have asked 3 different dealerships and they have all told me the lowering springs are fine for the car and as long as I have a good installer I shouldn't have much to worry about. I was told the reason my shock went out the first time was an electrical issue with the wire on the shock.

I know a lot of people are on these springs- Is anyone having any sort of issue with these? I have considered going with the mid level springs but if I am the only one who has ever had an issue with the 55+ sets that black ops has sold then I feel like it wasn't the springs that made the shock go faulty.

Thanks guys

I've not had any issues at all yet. I do not have the mileage you do either. Mine sat all winter. I'm sure someone else on here can chime in that has more miles on their vehicle. It is nice to hear that it wasn't the fault of the springs though. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. I am praying that was a fluke issue bc they for sure look the most aggressive in these Springs

Trooper,
I am looking at the Black Ops lowering springs myself. I started just wanting to lower the back to make it even with the front and then I looked at the aggressive photos and really like the look, however I have a couple of questions.
1. Are they so low that you have to be concerned with going out of driveways, etc. like with my 06 SRT magnum?
2. Do they stiffen up the ride noticeably in the "auto" mode?
3. Read about your shock problem and it sounds like it's not a prevalent problem. Do the aftermarket springs affect the warrantee in any manner?

Thanks for your, or anyone else's help in answering these questions. I am more into the drag racing and performance scene than in the low-rider thing. I see you are pretty heavily modified for performance as well. Just sayn'.

I've had the aggressive drop on my 14 a week after I bought it last year on 4/20. I've had no problems with stock rim and tire setup. With that said I'll try to answer your questions based on my experience.

1. Not at all. Even with improved newer streets I've never rubbed or bottomed out. Unless of course you fly in and out of your driveway over the curb then I suppose you would.
2. Yes they do. Anytime you drop a car almost 3 inches in the rear it's going to be noticeably stiffer. This point is all personal preference, I love the way it handles so for me I don't mind the stiffer ride.
3. Not at my dealership. Some people have reported getting some shit from other dealerships for almost anythingthey have done to their ride. Bottom line with mods is if the modification isn't the direct cause of the failure it's covered by warranty. That's what my service guy told me. So if you put these springs in and your throttle body went bad you're ok. If you put nitrous on it and the motor blew you're screwed. This is kind of a sketchy area for people because of some dealerships telling them they can't do anything to their vehicles without voiding their warranty. I think that's a bunch of bullshit a dealer tells you so they won't have to deal with your car. I believe what my guy told me and I've not had an issue with warranty work.

Re: Road Magnet Aggressive Drop

I think I am going to go with the less aggressive set as mine is my daily driver and I don't want to deal with the stiff ride unless I dial it in. Thanks again for the info. Heading for Fontana drags in the AM. Will post my times when I get back.

Re: Road Magnet Aggressive Drop

The medium RMs are tough to find these days. The extremes seem to be a bit much unless you're on a 35 series 22".

I haven't tried to order them yet. Have a pin striper doing some work on the valve covers and one wheel downstairs and will try to order them when he is done. I will let you know if they are back-ordered. Thanks for the head-up!

Perfect answers saved me a bunch of typing Haa.

I honestly don't feel em stiff at all like ^ mentioned I love the way it handles not like a coil over rides really good IMO.

The aggressive is not for everyone the Extremes need the Arms so this just means more money and I never recommend them unless I make people understand that the spending is not done with just springs all said and done.

The Extremes, Arms and OUR new Endlinks coming should really perform well when all put together.

on a side note our suspension designer was a F1 chassis designer hence where the adjustable arm design comes from he has also designed multiple parts for MOPAR. We will put out all the data on the links because I've see a comment from our compitition questioning the strength of aluminum suspension parts VS welded tube LOL even tho we are all FEA tested and virtually tested just like the OEM's guess they are scared to finally be revealed of selling something that don't work
