Road magnets finally arrived!

Well today was good and bad, my road magnets finally arrived here in Australia from Chad so I am super excited to get those and my new Borla ATAK installed on Thursday.

When I picked up the parcel from the post office this is what I saw;

The box was plain label and pretty messed up so I was a bit concerned. There is a bunch of tape holding the box together which has been used to repair it while in transit. It's obviously busted open during its trip.

Once opened I noticed no bubble wrap or foam was used to pad the springs essentially just loose in the box which is pretty big, way bigger than the springs need;

Then I pulled the springs out and noticed 3 out of the 4 are scratched up some worse than others, 1 has a gouge a bit smaller than a bottle top;

Obviously this has happened in transit but I am concerned if this is how they were packed for shipping. I've shipped coilovers from Germany for a wagon I had and the box, packing and everything was A Grade, no damage at all.

Chad, no reflection on you bro but I was a bit devo'd about it. It doesn't look as bad in the pics as in person but will this mean they corrode in time or anything?? I'm sure it won't affect performance but would like your feedback mate.

I can send more pics to you at BlackOps if you need mate.

Cheers

Re: Road magnets finally arrived!

I could have done all this Via Email like I told ya insead of getting a link to a foum where no one here will help you not sure why I am on a fourm answering a shipping damage claim.

They have been shipping directly from Road magnet and I guess they ran out of small boxes last week because this is not how they typically ship.

I already sent an email to them and will wait for their reply I'm sure they will send out another set or Refund you not sure they are fans of a foum bash without an opertuntity to correct a clear shipping damage claim. I will let you know what they say their is as written everywhere 100% satisfaction guarantee so while it sucks and excitement gets thrown out the window the situation will be handeled and your money is safe!

We custom quote them it's not cheap their 40# these where 225.00 for shipping Road magnet quoes evey address individually and charges per that adress most of the time this is the same quote for all of Australia.

Also this issue above was relayed to Road magnet!!

I'm sure we will come to a resolution for the OP today stay tuned I am doing what I can to get it resolved for you in fact I think letting you deal directly with them/RM may be best here. I'm good with whatever you need but it's not my product I am only a distibuter when push comes to shove they have the final say not me unfortunately.

I think to speed this ^ issue up a bit and avoid any delays in the futre this post ^ teaches everyone a lesson and something I tell everyone as much as possible! If a product shows up on anyones doorstep looking like this box ^ decline it or in this case Springs DECLINE THEM!! By refusing the package it is sent back to us or the shipper in this cse RM with no cost to the end user (Customer) this way the replacement parts can be shipping back out to the end user/customer right away.

Very important ^ DO NOT take a chance opening a box that looks like ^ or if requiring a signature do NOT sign for it! If you open it and or sign for the package UPS,Fed Ex or USPS will make you keep that product and sending them back to us or the shipper will cost YOU not US or the shipper in this case Road Magnet! RM,US or any shipper for that matter will replace the product no questions asked if refused for damage!!! Once accepted by the end user any package needed to be sent back per anyones policy (RM,Ours or anyone else's) voids all damage claims per most everyone in this industrys warantee claims process on their website. Accepting them just makes things that much more confusing getting them replaced and a time delay if you decide to keep them and open them.

Re: Road magnets finally arrived!

I did not even know you could refuse the shipment of it looks dodge so good to know, foresight in hindsight eh!

Re Chad, I have acknowledged I should have come to him first before posting and he's been nothing but helpful. This is no reflection on B'Ops quality or shipping methods I can't stress that enough.

As for RM, it is what it is for all I know the apprentice packed the springs and sent them unbeknown to those who understand the importance of shipping heavy items like this and how to pack them for intl' shipping.

It's all good, I wouldn't hesitate to order them again from RM......

Thanks for the kind words!!

I'm 100% understanding this was not ideal way of shipping them and believe me I laid into them for ya LOL. I do not agree with the way they were packed either it was a shocker for me also. I am glad you like them tho everyone does they are a huge improvement over the OEM ones.

And yes this goes for any vendor refuse if the package is questionable or damaged before you sign or accept a package!

Re: Road magnets finally arrived!

Off topic but a question, more often than not, any item I've bought on line (not with Black Ops necessarily) is delivered when I am at work and cannot refuse it. How does one handle the situation when I come home and find a box like that on my doorstep?

Thanks
(PS: Currently stashing money for a set of these Mids)

Great question
Everything has a sigiature on it if UPS or Fed ex leaves it without this then that's something we can then take up with the espically if you did not sign for it ya know?

Almost always if you bring the box back to them and let them know the package you are giving back has a signature required then they will have to take it back.

Typically we have 0 issues with springs and stuff like Carbon we just take the loss and ship you new stuff if it's damaged and report the damage.

Thanks again for the question!
