Springs

I heard the springs were relatively though to install because of all the sensors and automatic this and that (I'm not too technical). Anyone know a general estimate of how much a shop charges to install? Would really appreciate the help!

Re: Springs

I tried and failed on the fronts, may give it another shot tomorrow. However, have been calling around and most seem to quote 3-4 hours for the install. The shops I have called all specialize in suspension work and have quoted $80-90 per hour.

Re: Springs

Yeah, pretty much, best case would be 2-3 hours but your still looking at a couple hundred minimum. The fronts are horrible you have to take off tie rod, steering, caliper, to get enough room to drop the lower control arm and it's still not enough room to get it all out.

Re: Springs

Not to be a downer, but don't forget the alignment you'll need after it's done that'll be another $75-100 depending.

Re: Springs

it's worth every cent to pay someone else to install springs. the fronts are AWFUL. I very wish I went that route. I will never ever again go near these damn springs. Fronts took me 6 hours.
