I went in a different direction after reading numerous posts on the subject. For my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT i purchased the Power Stop Z26 brake pads from Rock Auto. The price is the best I could find at $65 for fronts (1405) and $54 for rears (1053). I think the empirical experiences of all forum members are great advice and allow you to make the final choice as did I.
From most things I've read the stock braking performance can't be beat. A lot of guys have gone ceramic and weren't too pleased. I plan to do mine with OEM pads. I'll put up with the dust for the awesome performance they offer.
Actually I ordered a set of OEM brakes and rotors from a jeep dealer in FLA and having an indipendant shop install them. It will be about $400 less than the dealer quoted me and hopefully a better job. Can't stand my local dealer herein Chicago, they are constantly trying tomp charge me and do a Shiity job.
Sign up for UPS My Choice and you can approve packages before they arrive. I usually get a notification 2 days before the package comes and im able to sign off on it and give instructions on where to leave it.
Also Interested in what everyone is using, I have the Hawk Ceramics and R1 drilled and slotted rotors. Looking at replacement. I have a hair over 35K on mine. I haven't really looked at them in depth yet but curious as to if you think I need to replace the rotors as well. Thank you.
