Just hit 16k miles on my 2012. While getting an oil change, the dealer was kind enough inform me that I will be needing new tires and brakes soon.

Anyone have experience or recs regarding tires?. It's nearing tax time, and the $500+/tire dealer quote is a bit rich for my blood.

Anyone have experience with replacement brake pads? Drilled or slotted rotor upgrades?

Probably had 3 season tires, not uncommon to need new tires around 15000 miles

you can get aftermarket pads for $50-60. I got hawk and Stoptechs for like $140-150 shipped for the fronts/rear. Dont pay $500-600 for the stock brembos

yes sir I do! I the wk2 SRT brakes forum

I have the hawk HPS street padson fronts and stoptech rears. I have the brenbo sport cross drilled rotors front and rear and they are world class. NO RUST...no noise and they look cool. Plus theyre lighter than stock.

I'm nearing 20k on my 2012 JC srt8, and definitely need new rubber. The OEM tires run up to $500 per tire (more at dealer!). Falken, Hankook, and BF Goodrich offer less expensive tires, but have mixed reviews online. Does anyone have experience with replacement tires or suggestions that you can share?

I put winter tires on the stock rims the first winter after I bought my 14 srt. Still have the oem tires in the garage since my summer setup are 3 season 22s. They are about half worn or so per my judgement with 7k miles on them. Anyone around SE Minnesota that wants them can have em free (PM me if you want pics or something).

I also needed to replace rubber at around 12,000 miles. My 14 now has 55k miles and on my 3rd set of tires. I switched to All season (non- run flat). Yokohoma Parada Spec-X. On my 2nd set and still plenty of life. They last much longer than stock and still perform fine. I run Hawks on the front and Stoptech on rear. Will be replaceing soon and this time I will replace rooters with Slotted and drilled. Trying to decide on Pads whether to go with Ceramic this time?? Front still squeak and the dust is better than stock but still sucks.
