Yup there is the issue! For now you can bypass the relay and the DRL will remain in full intensity mode at all times while car is running. Then when you get the correct relay it will dim with the headlights...

Thank you so much for your help I was going nuts. I guess I will order the relay you linked and that should solve the problem

Re: 2014 SRT Headlight DRL Activation

You want to use this ech-143 relay from NAPA. It's got the proper 'normally closed' 87a pin. While you are there at NAPA, ask for the ECH EC23 relay plug connector to make for a more clean install.

I've used these before for doing wire taps. I like them...easy and no soldering (and not cheap like the crimp on ones). Water and dirt resistant. Easy to install and remove.

I'm going to take the plunge on this over the weekend. Will post the results.

Ok I finally did it. I used everything Dan in his advice post said to use. Really easy to do actually. I just need to get some loom and secure the wiring down permanently. Question though, when it's in park do the ribbons stay illuminated? Mine do in park. Took a pic of it in drive with some wood blocking the tires. I think it took me 60 min from start to finish. It's been a long time since I did anything like this so you guys shouldn't have any issues.

Yes ribbons stay illuminated as soon as vehicle ignition is placed into the run position. The bumper strips come on once the vehicle is in gear.

Re: 2014 SRT Headlight DRL Activation

I was going to post progress on this but I've stalled on finding a place with a micro2 fuse tap for sale. The only place I've found them is some place in China. :/

Once I have the fuse tap I'll post part numbers and photos. I want it as professional looking as possible while being fully reversible if needed.

Did you try Amazon?

The fuse is Mini type. Micro would be too small.

Mini will not fit. It is indeed a micro2 fuse size.
