6.4 PCV Valve... To replace or not to replace...?

Apparent the 6.4 has a PCV valve, with recommended replacement interval every 60k miles. Has anyone ever replaced theirs? Is it really even necessary?!

I have a lifetime max care warranty, don't need to be accused of not having done regular maintenance, so I contemplated getting in there and swapping it out. $30 for a PCV valve? K then...

Re: 6.4 PCV Valve... To replace or not to replace...?

It looks simple enough to do, but in the past I've always just checked them. Usually if the valve jiggles when you shake it they are still good, at least that was true for older vehicle. A $30 PCV valve might be more complicated though. Its only $30 and a few minutes of time so I'd just replace it.

I just rolled over 60k myself. I'll look into this as well!

Re: 6.4 PCV Valve... To replace or not to replace...?

it literally just untwists out the back. Just twist out and pull up and replace.

Ordered my new PCV for $29 on the eBay- best deal I could find.

http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/281855241836

And yeah, PCV swap is pretty easy. Doesn't look like the typical PCV, is instead a plastic nut on top of the intake manifold where the upper suction line attaches- I always wondered why this thing looked like it unscrews.
