Re: HOW TO: 2014 Grill ring removal

Thanks again for the write up. I did mine today. Turned out really well too. No scratches from removal either:

No shots of them installed yet, but here they are painted and ready to go. I went with a satin black to match the lower valance. Not quite a gloss black, but not exactly matte either.

I'll add one on the Jeep once I get a photo of them reinstalled.

Tape them off and use a trim stick

Same tool. There easier than the upper rings. Start in the lower inside corners and work your way up and around. They come out very easy.

Re: HOW TO: 2014 Grill ring removal

By the way, i ordered the original grills in black.
When i remove the chrome ones is there a certain order that they go in to fit? Or can it be any?

Um... I guess I dropped the ball there. Sorry I forgot to update with that photo. I don't have any really good shots of it, but here is one I took after finishing them. I planned on going to get some better photos, but until then I guess this will do.

Where the heck do those go? If they're the fog light rings, they have a screw on the back of them (maybe 2 screws?).

Yes they go in a specific order. They are slightly different shapes/sizes as you work toward/away from center. When I did mine, I scratched a number into the back of each one so I knew where it went back in, but you should be able to figure it out if you lay them all next to each other.
