How to: install Phillips Ultinon LED fog light bulbs from XenonDepot

Tools and items needed:

Plastic rivet tool
8 plastic rivets - size shown on box
Drill and bit
New bulbs

Ouploadfromtaptalk1409025957399.jpg
Next....turn wheel to gain access
Iuploadfromtaptalk1409025957399.jpg
Drill out center of each rivet. You Can Also Cut Them off...But This Seems easiest To Me
uploadfromtaptalk1409025957399.jpg
uploadfromtaptalk1409025982229.jpg
Pull back liner and you have
access to the bulb.
uploadfromtaptalk1409026028357.jpg

After installing bulb. Push liner back and replace rivets with the plastic rivet setter. As shown below

I used the Phillips ultinon 6000k led h11 bulbs from xenondepot.com! You can see.feom the pics they are incredible! Output is amazing for an led bulb!

This pic is of a new ultinon on the drivers side...With the cree 30 watt bulb on the passenger

I dont know if its just my phone but most of the photos are of your tools when your explaining the steps. Seen most of your write ups and this is the only one that pictures are screwed up.

Thanks Scott. Glad to see that you're enjoying the bulbs! I told you that these were not just "another pair of H11 LED bulbs"

These Philips H11 Led bulbs really are fantastic!

Not bad for only drawing 10W

Thanks Scott for the writeup.
I was hoping that there was a way to get the rivets out without destroying them, as I cannot get the rivet gun in AU. I will order one to be delivered to my hotel when I visit the USA in November.

Thanks for this Scott. I have been sitting on these for 6 weeks as I could not gain access without taking out rivets. Steve @ XD relayed the info on the rivets which I ordered (noticed they are a bit smaller and not grey per stock) but have not found the time to install and did noy know about needing the rivet too. Steve has been great and I am hoping to get these in soon. Your entry has helped!

PS- I also ordered the Lloyd mats from Steve and they are really nice. much better than the rubber all weather I had.

not a problem. Youll like them...they are awesome. Im gonna get more Phillips bulbs from him for my jeepaddicted rear tail and fogs harness. Phillips is releasing a ton of LED bulbs for 3157, 3057, 7443 etc. and xenondepot has them

Yep, $15 for the tool and $40 for the shipping. Not a big deal as I can wait 2 months until I am there in the USA. I am planning to buy several things for the SRT while Stateside.

How would they look with the stock HID headlight bulbs? Would I need to replace those with 6000k also?

Only if you want them to colour match perfectly! We also now have these all new Philips X-tremeVision 5000k D3S HID bulbs - 50% brighter then your stock HID bulbs.
