14-15 Altitude with Overland/SRT grill pic request

I saw some posts where people have swapped the grill out for the all black Overland/SRT one but I couldn't seem find any before/after pics. Does anybody have a front before/after shot (with decent lighting) of an Altitude that's done this? Debating if this is something I want to do as the stock look goes pretty good with the granite paint.

P.S. color of the Altitude doesn't matter, I more want to get an idea of the grills with the black trim.

Re: 14-15 Altitude with Overland/SRT grill pic request

I have my Honeycomb SRT grill inserts at home and am waiting for the weather to warm up to do the swap. This Altitude isn't mine but was my inspiration to go ahead and buy them:
My '14 Granite Crystal Altitude

I've already installed the black lug nuts

Just tried to do the install on a 2014 Altitude...I got everything off except the plastic molding around the fenders and then gave up. How do those plastic rivets come off, prying them with a screwdriver did me no good and just damaged the plastic. Anybody?

I didn't even take my bumper off to install the grills. I just punched them out from the front and pulled them up through the top. All you really need to do is remove the top 2 rivets and 2 pull up clips and stick your hand down.

If you want to take the whole bumper off I believe you can punch those fender rivets through the hole and they will come out. You need to buy new rivets to replace them with they are one time use.

Thanks skunkd, I'll try that tonight...I was under the impression that there were some screws holding the grille assembly in place. I'm looking forward to trying this method and getting em on

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1420912728.633853.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1420912744.769980.jpg did the top down method and just punched the grills out like skunkd suggested...it was a pain but only took about a half hour to complete.

Re: 14-15 Altitude with Overland/SRT grill pic request

Looks good, man. When you say "punch" how much actual force did you have to use? Also, did you break any tabs on the platinum grill inserts by doing it that way?

Re: 14-15 Altitude with Overland/SRT grill pic request

Thanks, by punch I mean I grabbed a towel and pushed on the grilles until they popped out of place, for some of the more stubborn clips I wrapped the towel around a screwdriver and used that to apply direct pressure until they popped out as well. It didn't cause any damage to the clips and seems to have been the easiest way to get the grilles out. It does take some force to get them out but it works.
