Re: 14' Cross-Bar Discussion

I just put the Thule aeroblades on and it was easy enough although they don't get you the proper width to install your podiums at. You have to fudge with them for a bit to make sure that it is even on your roof.

I didn't love the look of it for the summer (I only need the cross bars for a ski rack) so I took them off the car and will store them until October.

Yepper, that's what mine looks like too. I'll probably do the same this weekend as I won't need them until hunting season.

Captain_Kirk just might sway me over to the OEM bars. I priced up a Thule aero set up, and it would cost about $424 for the brackets and bars. I checked out moparparts online and they are pricing the OEM racks at $221. I will be mounting Stand up paddleboards, occasionally. Great tip on mounting thin side forward!

Re: 14' Cross-Bar Discussion

Wow, I think I got my Thule set-up (fit kit, towers, bars and installation) for under $350. Still more than the OEM's. I have a friend that does powdercoating. I'm debating getting the crossbars powdercoated to match my black truck.

Re: 14' Cross-Bar Discussion

OEM (clone) bars on eBay. Not my add, but I did buy them last year (with pictures). No noise issues.
Another eBay add for $160.
